Mercer frowned, his eyes blazing intensely as he watched Bryce burn off the tendrils.
"What the fuck are you?" He said, almost in a whisper. Then he scoffed.
"No, it doesn't matter. You're not interested? That's fine. I don't need your willing help to do what I need to do. I can get what I need to know from you in other ways. Meanwhile, I have a lot of work to do before we come to that." He glimpsed the man in the black armour approaching from the corner of his eye then, as Bryce was burning through the last of the tendrils. He lashed out with a whipfist not at either of his opponents, but at a large, much more expensive looking version of the vehicles he'd seen in the lower city. Punchinginto it he yanked it close then swung it with all his strength at Bryce to knock him off balance and throw him at the other man. With a bit of luck, the newcomer would be crushed to death. As soon as it left his hand he turned away.
"Watch your back Bryce!" He shouted with false cheeriness before leaping to the rooftops and leaving them to contend with the infected. Whatever else the group could do, they'd have a very hard time travelling anywhere close to his pace. He'd travel around the city, first consuming civilians en masse, then using some of their biomass to start the infection at several points. The group might cleanse the infection here, but they'd never get it all.

As the man continued onwards towards Mercer's position, ten more of the mutants block his path. Holding up his sword, he saw eight more moving in from behind, and from his peripheral vision, he noticed more of them come from the side. Lowering his sword, he only hmm'd before suddenly lashing out at those infront of him slicing one of the mutants of half, then spinning around and knocking a second one away with the hilt of his sword, bashing it against the mutant's stomach. as the mutant stumbled backwards, the man spun around once more, lashing out at those behind him, this decapitated another one of the mutants. By this time, the ones coming from the side neared. Seeing this, the man jabbed his sword in the ground, moments later, the ground beneath his feet shot up, propelling him into the air. Whilst in the air, his free hand glowed with a black light. Thrusting it forwards, a barrage of black spheres with a white core shot out towards the mutants. Those hit by the spheres fell as their bones were crushed and flesh compressed by a dramatic increase in gravity. Landing, the man brought down his sword with a overheard slashing, cleaving another infected in half vertically.
Rising to his feet, the man was greeting with the sight of Mercer snatching up and throwing a vehicle at him. Holding out his free hand infront of him, black mist swirled around it once more as he cast another spell. Just as the vehicle came close, the man fired another black sphere, this one much larger then the ones he had bombarded the mutants with. As the sphere colided with the vehicle, a ear-ringing noise enseud as the vehicle was compressed into a a wreck, with fell to the ground once the sphere disipated.

Bryce went reeling, before teleporting forward and slamming into the car with all his force, diverting it just a bit.At least, that's what he expected to happen, but the swordsman removed the car, leaving him flying through the air. He hit the ground and rolled, and grunted, before going still.

Finally, arriving back at the inn, I sigh. It was barely a workout at best. Deciding to take things into my own hands, I started practicing my sword swings out of reach from the fleeing people. Even if they got close, it didn't halt my blade an inch. Only the strong survive.

Blondie woke up and looked around. After a while, he determined that Rat was no longer in the group. He gave a small sigh, frustrated.
He walked over to Royce and woke him up. "Let's take a walk." Blondie said to him as he started to walk away. Royce reluctantly followed him into the city...

I notice a cowboy leading another man away but continue my training. It isn't any of my business nor should I actually care. Benevolence is a weakness that people have, only to be crushed. It is only natural for people to start clawing at each other's throats from seeing another one ascend above the rest from one act of benevolence. 'Tis a sad thing, but altogether necessary.

After a long battle, and with the aid of the others, to wich the man paid next to no attention, all of the mutants Mercer had produced had been slain. The order to fight to the death ensured no of them attempted to escape. Looking at his sword, the man frowned at how bloodied it was, resolving to clean it later. Looking over the battle field once more to see if any mutant had survived, the man walked off, heading towards the building where the girl was hiding.

Yukino has cause a bit of collateral damage. Citizens who hadn't paid attention had gotten slashed by her flaming blade along with the infected. But she just shrugs as she sheathes her sword and walks away from the battlefield, humming happily.

The fox wandered upon the battlefield as it had a small fox grin on its face. It milled through different bodies of infected and non-infected.
