Rex chuckles with Aisha as he enters the hallway after the others. [color=008888] "True. Loot's always a nice bonus to have." [/color]

As Yukino makes her way into the large room, she mutters something under her breath. As she finishes, a flame envelops her, turning her into a bright torch, lighting the room. She calls out to whoever might be in there. [color=bb66bb] "Hi there! Your buddies outside told us to visit!" [/color]

 

[Outisakanobody]

"...Valid concern. I'm willing to take that chance. I'll understand if you aren't." Blondie said as he continued up the stairs.

@Drak: Aisha can only sense spiritual energies, and less or more everything gives off something some more/less than others.

Aisha entered the church, laughing slightly at Rex and his comment. "Hmm... Now if I was loot, where would I be?"

I followed after Aisha and frowned. A church? Really? This is dull. "Well... This has been slightly adventurous."

"But Riven... Loot!"

"Only if it proves some worth."

 

[Slenn]

<color=red>"I gotta admit, I'm not familiar with churches. But if it's anything holy, then that demon shouldn't be there."

Caius and Yeul followed the others into the large room, Yeul looking around, noting the building's decorations, while Caius looked around for potential threats. The darkness did little to hinder Caius, as he could see relatively well in the dark, although when Yukino lit herself on fire, he squinted his eyes as they adjusted to the sudden change in lighting.

"I highly doubts things are as simply as that." he remarked in responce to Majeh.

As Majeh approached the pulpit, the room lit up vastly because of Yukino. However, a chandelier, along with rows and rows of candelabras, suddenly flared up as well. With the room now lit up a figure at the pulpit could be seen, though Majeh (and anyone else with magic/demonic sense) would have sensed its presence before seeing it. The figure was clearly not human, as it seemed to have no legs, and had a form like a hunchback. It wore a mask and a pink cloak covered the entirety of its body.

[color=Masked Woman]"Welcome."[/color] The figure said to those in the sanctuary. [color=Masked Woman]"I assume you all have come for salvation?"[/color] The figure spoke with a clearly feminine tone, sounding caring and benevolent. Anyone who was paying attention could tell the figure's voice matched the whispers the group heard as they entered the barrier.

Mercer/Raziel quickly scaled the exterior of the church with a series of short jumps til he reached a large window in one of the wings. Forming a claw on one hand, he cut through the glass with the point of one claw, then passed a single, thin tendril through the hole to test the entrance.

Jensen considered this for a moment.
"Nah, fuck it. At least if Lady Galadriel and her friends show up I can detect them early and we can escape, or set an ambush. I'll go with you. Just got to grab my gear first. It wouldn't do us any harm to find some heavier weapons soon though."

 

[Saltyk]

"You know that I was being sarcastic, right?" Majeh said to Caius over his shoulder.

He looked at the figure as he continued his approach. "Sorry, I can't be judged. Something about a Sin taken far enough is like a virtue. Convenient, eh? Who are you? Another demon sent to kill me?" He says with a smirk and a devil-may-care tone.

Ohh... So that's who it was. "That depends, what kind of salvation?"

I glare at the figure, standing close to Aisha just incase.

 

[Slenn]

<color=red>"You. You were the one in the lower city that 'gave' demonic powers to the people there. You match the description perfectly."

"Salvation? Salvation that comes from a demon? I'm afraid I'm going to have to decline." She crossed her arms and her eyes became half-lid.

 

[Chungus]

OoC @Drak: This scene drastically calls for some pipe organ music, if you ask me. x)

"Precisely what is your purpose here?" Yeul asked. Although intrigued, she knew better then to accept the figure's offer.

Caius scoffed upon hearing the figure speak of salvation. He noted the figure's voice was identical to the whispers he heard echoing in his mind not moments ago, but though little of this. "Most certainly not..."

Rex just cracks his neck a bit, his gauntlet begin to spark up. [color=008888] Here we go... [/color]

Yukino dispels her flame, giggling at the figure. [color=bb66bb] "Ah. Again with this salvation bullshit. You demons are quite a riot." [/color]

Blondie didn't say anything, but he did give a small, satisfied grin, which was hidden thanks to Adam being behind him. "Good. Might as well ask, there anyone else you think we should bring along?" he asked.

The masked figure looks at Majeh, though her expression could not be told. [color=Masked Woman]"I am Selion. Are you always so self-centered? I am here for the benefit of the people of this city, to grant them salvation from the monstrous abominations that threaten them."[/color] The figure now identified as Selion replied. Shifting its gaze to Aisha, it answered her, [color=Masked Woman]"Salvation from the horrendous beasts that stalk the streets. Though I feel you are capable of handling them, I am here to save those who unfortunately cannot."[/color]
Looking at Reimu, it said, [color=Masked Woman]"So you know of my work? Good, the word is getting out. Do you wish to accept the gift that I offer?"[/color]
It shook its head at Marisa, [color=Masked Woman]"Such a closed mind."[/color]
Finally getting to Yeul, Selion answered, [color=Masked Woman]"My purpose, in case it hasn't been made obvious, is to save the unfortunate souls of this doomed city. By offering ascension into demon-hood, I give these people the power to defend themselves against the abominations that have made there way here from the lower city."[/color]

Mercer would feel absolutely nothing within the church near where he tested.

@Furioso: I'm doing stuff, and sure. Everyone is just, like, right down the street from the inn, in a large black cathedral. Well, not everyone, but just about.

Jensen shrugged.
"Dunno. Apart from you and Royce, the only ones here that I really know are Bullet, Rex and Bryce. I've hardly seen Bryce since I got back, and he seems... changed, somehow. Bullet, I haven't seen at all. I...guess I should assume the worst." Jensen went quiet for a moment before continuing. "You could ask Rex, or maybe that Hellen woman. She seems ok. I don't think Rex will take you up on it though. Seems to fit in here."

OOC: @Drak Actually, its getting really late. I can't afford to join the fight. Lets just say that Mercer got repelled by a second barrier and is hanging around outside.

<color=red>"I'm afraid accepting offers from demons is not in my wheelhouse. And I'm not going to become one of them. In fact it's my job to prevent this kind of thing from happening." She pulled out her demonic-based spell cards and spread them out like a fold-out fan in her hands and gave the lady a glare.

"Ohh... This is where that large dragon demon came from."

I scoff. "[sub]Hmmm... Let's see where this ends.[/sub]"

 

[Saltyk]

"Being turned into a demon is not a blessing." Majeh replied.
"Are you the one who sent the last one after me? He said he was turned by someone. Fortunately, he is now in the Next World reaping his reward, or more likely, his punishment for his life. Perhaps, in time, he will be allowed to be reincarnated. Hopefully, he does better next time."
He continued to walk towards the pulpit. "Where are you from? You don't look like a Demon from Hell or the Kingdom of Soora."
