I nodded to Rex, turning to face him. My face less or more stoic. "That was very much the case. But... Something changed with the Noxian High Command." I started involuntarily rubbing the space between my eyes and nose. "I was part of an elite military squad in Noxus, the Crimson Elite, and we were sent into another country, Ionia for war. I expected a grand battle, soldiers marching to glory... But I was mistaken." I paused to catch my breathe and tried to stop my involuntary action. It failed.
"Instead what we did was massacre the Ionians. Killing non-combat units, using underhanded tactics to quell any possible idea of hope. Instead, what we did was bind their anger. I didn't like our actions, but I continued to follow orders. Eventually, small resistance groups spawned. Instead the resistance was fierce and unrelenting.
