The base wasn't exactly thriving with activity but was busy nonetheless with ensuring it's defence. The large turrets mounted on it's walls swiveled whilst surveying then nearby streets as the walls were patrolled by the few remaining snipers and a small number of Infantry Men. The Gate at the front after being destroyed in the previous raid was being guarded by a group of ten Infantry Men with five hidden Elite Female Infantry Men in support. The patrol grounds was sparsely populated and patrolled by small groups of Infantry Men and Elites as well as Pyro Specialists and Heavy Infantry Men. There was a small group of Androids on standby in front of which stood the Overseers discussing the situation.

Jack was ticked off at Majeh 's attitude and it took all of his power not to throttle him then and there. "Indeed. It was a pleasure. Let's." he replied after him with a rather stiff face again. Once everyone was outside and Jack and Darwin were alone in the Inn. Jack spun around and slammed his palm into Darwin's chest, surprising the large individual, sending him flying through the counter of the lobby. Jack cricked his neck before stating "Ahhh I needed that. These airs are no fun to put on if it's not causing people to sweat uncontrollably or rupture each others throats. Oh I'm mister poncy ponce and you should treat me like I'm a bloody king. Disgusting." and spitting on the floor. He approaches Darwin as he was pulling himself up with a dark look on his face and muttered "What kept you by the way? I thought I said you were to come back and show me where these individuals were hiding after you dropped off the girl. No matter. She was easy enough to spot as it is." He then stepped back and groaned before cricking his neck again as Darwin stood up and brushed himself off. "I suppose I'll have to put this tone back on if I don't want to left out of the chaotic fun before I begin slaughtering those that annoy me." He then spun on his heel and left the Inn after the group whilst Darwin grumbled darkly and followed after.

Eve listened fully to Bryce's speech and cheered a little when he finished before suddenly looking away and seemed a little sad. She brightened up again before long, put the revolver she held at her hip and followed after Bryce as he headed for the base.

OoC: I've got to run, if Dot would be kind enough to do the bomb setting and then just have him slash everything? If Dot can, Nail would be fine as well. I should be back soon, but it might take an hour.

Being cloaked, Bryce walks up carfully into the group of infantry man in front of the gate and plants the bomb near them. After it goes off, he proceeds to slash at anyone who happens to survive the initial blast.

Yukino looks over at Mercer/Raziel and smiles. Seeing as Raziel just happened to appear as the group was just going to move, she could guess at who it really was. [color=bb66bb] "Oh, him? Nothing you need to worry yourself about... [small] Mercer.[/small]" [/color] As they near the base, Yukino focuses for a bit and her tails glow. A few moments later, she and her crow become invisible and slink a bit closer to the base.

Rex cracks his neck and moves to cover, waiting for the explosion. He switches his chain to its gauntlet form.

OOC: Suppose I'll wait my turn...

As soon as the bomb went off, Mercer/Raziel charged from cover and leaped through the air at the closest military personnel he could see. Breaking his neck with a deft twist, he seized the rifle from his hands and opened fire on anyone he could get a line of sight on.
Jensen advanced to the minimum safe distance under the cover of his cloaking system and drew his pistol. The laser sight projected a dancing red dot on the wall just beneath two snipers, where they couldn't see it. As soon as the bomb went off he would take them with two silenced rounds each

Yukimaru stood back and carefully observed the enemy forces as Bryce moved in and attacked. She kept an eye out for any possible way she could get in close without being seen.

"I suppose this is as good a time as any to do this." Rozalin summoned her mark, which caused white, sparkling light to shower on the group before they went in to attack. They could feel themselves being empowered by some unseen force that would make any aggressive actions on their part have more of an impact on the foes. Shoot! I forgot my promise to Rex! Oh well, I can explain it to him afterwards.

OOC: Once again, 'Kneel Before Me'. It increases Attack, Intelligence, and Hit stats for everyone it affects. Basically making everyone's attacks and magic do more damage and be more likely to hit.

The combination of Bryce's bomb and his following assault, eviscerated the Infantry guarding the gate as well as took out a large number of the invisible Infantry Women. However two remaining female Elites uncloaked and were about to about to spray Bryce with their tranquiliser rounds when Mercer emerged from the shadows and broke one of the soldiers necks, killing her, and completely disabling the other when she was sprayed with the rounds in the former's gun.

The two snipers that Jensen targeted dropped like flies when they suddenly swiveled around at the sound of the bomb going off and he hit them.

Eve watched from behind the most of the group as Bryce disappeared and set off the bomb and then winced when she saw him shred through the remaining Infantry with his claws. Jack watched the beginnings of the assault with an evil smirk on his face whilst Darwin eyed him cautiously.

The bomb had alerted the base to an attacking force. As a result the five groups of five Infantry Men as well as the three groups of four specialist soldiers spread around the parade ground got into cover and prepared for when the assaulters entered the compound. The few remaining snipers and Infantry Men on the walls turned their attention to the front gate in preparation and the two turrets at the front of the compound swiveled their focus to the front as their chain guns slowly began revving up. The Overseers assumed cover and began issuing orders via comms whilst the 15 Androids activated and hid themselves from view.

"This is fun." Echo said as she followed along with the group. She quieted down when they got closer to the base and got slightly more serious. She put Holly down and awaited an opportunity to get into the base.

Blondie and Royce both prepared the weapons they planned to use. Blondie had recovered his rifle, pleased to find his mule was surviving below, and looked down the scope with quiet expectation. "Damn it Bryce. I wanted that bomb inside the walls." he growled as he started lining up shots on the snipers.

Royce was aiming with his Phoenix, since it had a longer range and was more accurate than his shotgun. He too started looking fir targets.

Upon nearing the base, Caius and Yeul stopped. "This is far enough." Hearing Bryce's plan of attack, Caius frowned in disapprovement. That is his plan? simply "attack, and do so relentlessly"? Foolish. Wishing to be a relatively safe distance away but still in a place where the battle could be observed, he began looking around. It wasn't long before Caius spotted a suitable spot, the place where Yukimaru had been oberving the base from earlier. "Let us watch from there." he said to Yeul, poiting towards the building, then walking towards it.
Yeul nodded and followed.

When the duo arived at the building and climbed ontop of the perch, they saw the battle had already started. Yeul sat down on her knees, resting her hands on them. Caius remained standing, his arms crossed.

How ignorant can one man be? You give off a ton of killing intent... A child could sense it.

Upon arriving at the base Majeh watches the events unfold. He spots the turrets aiming for the group, and quickly scales a nearby structure, then jumps from it to the nearest turret cutting into with his blade, empowered with Sword Energy.

OoC: Sword Energy: He channels Chi into his sword, increasing the cutting power of the blade.

 

[Random berk]

OOC: If I may suggest something... with the walls blown wide open by the bomb, that would be like a dinner bell to the infected. If they still have a major presence around the base, they would flood in and further distract the military, making the group's job a bit easier.

Holly stood near Echo and waited. "[sub]We ssshall play later on, Ok?[/sub]" She said to Echo, keeping quiet.

Black sighed at the 'Plan' Bryce had laid out. "Nice one Cowboy...." She said sarcastically, rolling her eyes a little. she took her sword out and sneaked around the side of the base, looking for another entry.
