Brooke mimed going through her pouch, then looked up.
"Darn it, I forgot to bring it with me. Guess I'm not used to having to use one yet..."
She tapped her transmutation circle, and created a small hairpin, with a green gemstone on it.
"Why don't you take this, free of charge. Consider it a gesture of goodwill, and a reminder for you to come back tomorrow." she said, offering the ghost the pin.

OoC: @Nail, no, This is a game breaker (The skill hits so many things that it keeps recharging overlimit, allowing her to insta cast the skill and repeat the process for infinity)

"Ordinarily it's a skill called "Tractor Beam" but with how the magic in the air here affects my abilities, it became...that." replied Rita, keeping an eye on the Dragons

While when the ghost tried to grab the hair ornament, its hand passed straight through it, in the ghost's mind, it was holding the pin. It held up its hand, seemingly to hold the pin to the non-exsistant light of a non-exsistant street lantern, then made motions as if it were putting the hair ornament on. [sub]"Thanks! And I'll see you tomorow then."[/sub] With that, the ghost walked off, the pin still in Brooke's hand.

"Well, it worked to our advantage, so that is something to applaud. Odd as it may be..." Loki answered as he looked towards the dragon. Its curiousity sated, the dragon turned away from the golden statue, back to Rita and Loki. The dragon assumed a threatening stance, putting its weight on its forelegs, wings spread slightly, and its tail swaying back and forth in the air, its teeth bared.

"Now... With the dragon calmed down somewhat, let us try this again." Loki said, slowly walking up to the dragon.

Well... that was interesting. Brooke thought as she watched the ghost 'take' the pin and put it on.

What was shown there was really it's only practical use combat wise, the 200 man melee, or boss fights if you hate challenge and fun. It's REAL use is for grade grinding. In the game you are awarded Grade in addition to money and exp after a fight. It's basically a scoring system that adds up and at the end of the game you use it in order to purchase what bonuses you can bring into new game plus. One way to increase your grade in a fight is to get a lot of hits, so what you do is equip a skill on Rita that makes her attacks only do 1 damage, then use the technique shown in that video. You'll sit there for hours doing 1 damage to an enemy until it dies, and at the end of the fight you suddenly have a metric shit ton of grade. Not how the game wanted you to get grade, but it's so much easier.

Rita nodded as Loki walked to her dragon, and stayed back to let Loki do his thing while giving her some room in case she needed to act fast.

Ness slowly rises up out of the car and wanders around, eventually finding Brooke. She waves at the girl and yawns slightly "Hello there..., Miss Brooke. What are you up to today?"

Rex is sleeping on top of the barracks.

Yukino is casually walking her way from Granite Pass toward Port Letosh.

"I'm finding out what happens when you give something to a ghost. Apparently, the just think they've taken it, even though they haven't." Brooke explained. "I gave one this hairpin, and its hand just passed through the pin. Then, it 'put' the pin in its hair, even though there was nothing in its hand."

Holly woke up in the car and yawned. "Where...are we?" Holly looked out the window, rubbing her eyes slightly.

Blair woke up in Lakewest and walked around on the rooftops a bit, trying to find the others.

OoC @Furioso: If I had to listen to the line "Blah, blah, blah. Tidal Wave!" for an entire hour, I think I'd want to pop my eardrums with a screwdriver.

As he approached the dragon, Loki held out the arms to his side, seeing that using words would be pointless, opting for using bodu language. The dragon made a feign bite at Loki, then took a step back, growling louder. In responce to the feigned bite, Loki momentarily stopped, then continued walking closer to the dragon, slowly moving his left hand out infront of him. When he stood five feet away from the dragon, he stopped, still holding out his left hand and keeping that position. For a time, the dragon continued to growl and occasionally make a threatening move in the hope to scare Loki and Rita way.

"This is how it ought be. You know this. You have seen this." Loki stated, taking one small step forward. In turn, the dragon took one step back, but stopped growling. Eventually, the drgon brought its head a bit closer to Loki, sniffing him. "Progress..."

Ness raises an eyebrow toward Brooke's pin. "Is that so? Then they truly are lost in their own time and not just existing in denial... Excuse me for a moment, I need to find some sort of hospital.." With that, Ness turns and walks around for a doctor/nurse ghost.

As she passes the car, she waves at Holly.

Yawning a bit, Rex starts to walk back toward Lakewest, hoping off the roof of the barracks and his chain makes small shuffling noises as he walked.

OoC @Furioso: That reminds me when I played some goddamn casino minigame in FF 13-2. I just taped down the L1 button and went to do something else.

With the dragon's head lowered towards him, Loki took another step forward, the dragon pulling its head away slightly and growling softly, lifting up its lip to bare its teeth. Loki stopped for a moment and waited until the dragon stopped growling then took a step back, then waited again. The dragon made soft grunting noises, but gave no other responce."This is going well. You try. Approach it, then stop and let it come to you." Loki said to Rita, lowering his hand and turning to her.

Ness would find that finding a specific ghost was next to imposible, as the ash only roughly emulated the body shapes and features they had in life, but not their clothing. Trying to tell what the buildings were before being burned or destroyed wasn't a much easier task.

Some of the soldiers looked at Rex as he jumped off the roof. "The hell? Did he just jump off the roof?" one soldier said to another. "Seems so." the other soldier replied, then walked up to Rex. "Hey, you. This area is off limits to civilians unless escorted. You better explain yourself."

Holly steps out the car and walks over to Ness, sticking close to her as she looks around.

After searching for a while, Blair sighs. Where did everyone go? She thought to herself, her ears and tail drooped a little. Seeing Rex she smiled. I knew not all of them would leave me behind! Blair dashed over and jumps on Rex's shoulder. "Is it me? or has everyone gone somewhere else?" She asks Rex, as she sits on his shoulder.

Brooke transmuted all her statuettes, the rug and the pin into Xiphatian gold, gathered the coins up and decided to follow Ness.

Ness smiles toward Holly as she continues her quest for the medical personnel ghosts... or something. Noting the similarities of the ghosts' figure, she looks for ruins of a hospital or a clinic. "Hey there, Miss Holly? Good morning."

She looks back at Brooke and tilts her head. "You can perform alchemy?"

Rex was idly wandering around until Blair popped onto his shoulder. "Oh. Yo Blair. And it's not just you. I was running around gathering people up to go over to the base. We went to talk with a general about some ghost town where the war started. The incident that sparked it all and whatever. I tried to find you, but there's... a lot of rooftops here. I can only jump so many..."

Rita nodded and did as Loki told, approaching it slowly and then stopping, waiting for the dragon

Rémy wandered around Lakewest, and spotted Blair and Rex.

"Bah..." he said, pondering about Lesbians as he felt Tedd slip into this world and him into Tedd's, him glowing a bright white for a moment, before seemingly vanishing.

In Port Letosh. Within the Main Building of the military base.

Richard Inex sat in a meeting, his grey eyes focused on the man briefing him on his investigation. Several other soldier sat him at a rectangular table, listening as well.

"We have received reports that a man in Pewtercove has had his memory tampered with. His family claims that he came home one day talking of an old friend that had saved his life years ago." The young field investigator began. He wore a suit and tie. He was fit and well groomed, with blonde hair and blue eyes. Few people would be able to resist his charms. In short, he was a spy.

"That is odd? Why wouldn't he talk of his friend?" Richard asked.

"The thing is, that the friend in question doesn't exist. His family has never once heard of this man. And he supposedly saved his life years ago. Considering the claim and how outstanding it is, it is unlikely that he would just not have mentioned this friend of his. Especially seeing how he has supposedly given this man produce and such in the past."

"I see. Do we have a description of the 'friend'? Perhaps we could find this person..." Richard asked leaning forward.

"No, sir. Due to the Xiphatian presence in Pewtercove, I could only find out so much information. Ever since your incursion, they have upped their security. I doubt anyone, save you, could enter anymore, sir."

"I see. Do we know anything else of this claim?" Richard leaned back in his chair, rubbing his chin.

"Well, we do know this. Supposedly, he wore a mask or helmet. According to these memories, his face was injured and the man in question no longer shows it."

"I see. I guess it's too much to ask for a description, much less a picture." Richard said. He thought for a moment. "At the moment, we can do little to investigate further. We should keep an eye out for this scarred man with the helmet and inform our soldiers to beware sudden memory lapses or changes in others memories."

The others in the room seemed to stir and fuss about with this statement.

"Now, then. On to our next bit of business..."

Ness pauses then nods slightly. "Yes... in the manner which you've done it. The way you've completely changed the starting material is something that's near master level in my world..." She's seems so young though... how is she that good?
