Ness looked over slightly surprised at Jessica's appearance. "Hey. Are we doing more sleuthing today?"

"I guess so." Jessica replied to Tao. She pulled out a piece of grey chalk from one of her coat pockets, then knelt down and began drawing a chalk circle on the ground. Looking up from her drawing, she answered Ness by saying, "Well, what you told me you found out yesterday gave me something else to look into. You could help me look into that if you want to, though it would probably just mean going to a library and reading some books." She then went back to finishing her chalk circle.
The crow would see various Legaian soldiers going about their duties, surveying the area, maintenance, moving cargo and such.

Jessica finished the chalk circle and stepped out of the center of it. After taking a few deep breaths and focusing, she channeled the necessary energy into the chalk to activate the circle, causing the ground within the circle to be replaced by a portal appearing as a blue pool of light. After hopping through it to test it, she reappeared standing next to it once again. She then gestured for Tao to hop into it as she had.
Jessica simply nodded to Ness and smiled in recognition of her offer to help.

The crow continued to sit on its perch in the Defense base. It watched the soldiers come and go with about as much interest as one would expect a crow to show that sort of thing.

Amongst the soldiers walking some older gentlemen seemed to be walking together, discussing things. They seemed to be heading for the main building.

Unless Drak was thinking about another destination then Jessica and co would come to the Winterhorn library, but I think they went elsewhere for some strange reason.

"Oh, you're bringing the car? I need to make this bigger then." Jessica erased the chalk circle, as the current portal wasn't big enough to facilitate moving the car. The portal ceased functioning as she erased the circle. As Ness drove up in her car and stopped, Jessica started drawing another circle around the car.
