As Astasis slowly exits the tank he looks around. Dammit... I coulda been a general.

Athena keeps herself on guard while Savranth holds his pistol at the ready.

Several soldiers are surrounding the captured Legaian troops.

"Right." The convict says as he and 6 others follow Envy.
Several others split up and move out on their own.

 

[Furioso]

Envy kept walking as he addressed the convicts following him "So then, what can you guys do?"

"..."
"Right." Trilby sighed.

 

[Drakmorg]

Nybeth regrouped with the Xiphatian soldiers. Examining his clothes, he frowned at how tattered and bloodstained they had gotten within the battle. He walked up next to Athena and asked, "So then, what is to come next? What is to be done with the keep and the prisoners?"

 

[Silver Shadow]

"I think were a safe distance from lakewest now, should i switch out for shaadow?" silver asked checking behind him.

 

[Saltyk]

"Well, this location can be used as a staging area as we heal up and try to get more troops." Athena replied.
Savranth spoke up, still keeping his gun on Astasis. "Captain, I would like to try to recruit our vanquished foes."
Athena eyed him, curiously.

Astasis looked at him in disbelief. Who the Hell does this kid, think he is?

"High Speed Movement, Master level." The convict that had been talking to Envy replied.
The others started listing off their own skills.
"Fire, Adept level."
"Sensory, Adept level."
"Shield, Adept level."
"Earth, Adept level."
"Wind, Adept level."

Yukino stayed slumped a bit away from the action, her leg torn up, but slowly healing itself. The color in her eyes seemed faded as she took deep breaths waiting for her leg to sew itself up. She watched Savranth with a look of confusion.

Last night... ​

Ness nodded a bit at Jessica's question to her, sighing as well. "Well, we know for sure that angels and demons didn't exist before the nuclear war... and I'm sure Rex has already told you that he has become a demon. There's debate to whether those two species were evolved from our initial genetic mutation or created along with the world. No one knows for sure, so the possibility can't be fully ruled out."

She seemed to smile a bit at the explanation of how magic circulated. "I see. That's what makes it such a good source of energy then... Our's isn't that efficient. SP is created through bodily process, respiration and the like. When it's expended through use, the byproduct floats into the atmosphere. Thankfully, it can be used to speed up SP regeneration by liquefying it."

She paused for a moment before silently nodding at Jess' suggestion to create a mental link.

 

[Furioso]

"A nice mix." replied Envy as he continued on

OoC: @Saltyk: Is it okay if I just say that the Rookie has been given some work to do around Lakewest?

"Don't see any soldiers, so go ahead." Trilby shrugged.

 

[Silver Shadow]

Silver noded then there was a bright flash of light and Shadow apeared "Hey tribly, hows it going dude?"

 

[ShindoL Shill]

"About average. Anyway, you know the way to Valencheirn?" Trilby asked, apathetically.

 

[Saltyk]

"You want to do what? Are you joking?" Athena asked.
"No ma'am. I merely want to try. We maybe able to not only end this war, but all wars, if I succeed." Savranth replied to her.

"Well, that's what you wanted, right?" The convict says as they came to another sewer outlet.

The sensory user waits for a minute. "I don't hear the military, but we're probably still pretty close..."

OoC: @Kirke: Um, you mean with the military or with the citizens?
@Dot: When you want Thyme has something to give Vanessa.

 

[Silver Shadow]

"No"

 

[Furioso]

"It is what I wanted... as for this manhole, we should probably keep going." Said Envy, continuing on.

Lura looks through her sniper lens, watching the battle finish. "now, if I was that sniper, I'd kill the high ranking Legaian before she can rat out her people. Where oh where are you, little sniper...?"

OoC: @Saltyk: His penal servitude. He's supposed to work his debt to the state off. I'd kinda like him to meet Jessica, so could he have penal servitude that required him to walk around the city?

"God dammit. So, any ideas for where we can go where you won't be arrested?" Trilby sighed.

 

[Saltyk]

Lyra spot, off in the distance a Legaian airship approaching the mountains.

Volarian, aboard the Xiphatian airship, spots it. Are they coming to aide the army?"
Putting his hand to his ear, he sends a message to Athena. Incoming airship. Be on the lookout.

"I agree." The speed magic user said.

"Okay..." The other said as they continued on.

OoC: @Kirke: Seems legit. Say he's performing rounds with other soldiers or cleaning up the streets.
@Furi: Okay.

"And what of my compensation?" Nybeth asked Athena. Hearing Savranth's suggestion, he chuckled at the young man, but did little else in response. He started looking around at the battlefield, taking stock of all the damage and losses that both sides had incurred.

Jessica nodded with interest as she listened to Ness' explanation. "Interesting. The closest thing we have to angels and demons back in the homeland are beings called oblivion spirits. We haven't been able to make contact with them, so we've only ever heard about them though."

"And it's a good thing magic is so efficient where I come from too, since it isn't exactly available in incredible amounts. All the magic we use comes from a single source, and since it's a natural source we don't have much control over how much magic is available. We just have to take what we can get and reuse it all as soon as we can." Jessica replied to Ness with a sigh. Sounding more curious, she then asked, "How do you go about collecting the byproduct though? I can't imagine it would be terrible easy if it lingers in the atmosphere."

After Ness had replied to what all else Jessica had said, she nodded back to Ness and stepped closer to her until she was standing right in front of her. "Okay, so to make this easier I need you to try and clear your mind. Just don't think about anything except trying to hear and listen." She instructed Ness. She held up her hands and gingerly placed them on the sides on Ness' head, as if she were trying to hold it up. She then closed her eyes and began humming to herself as she tried to focus.
