@Dirty: Yep. Rex is up in Winterhorn and Ness is at Defense base.
@Salt: 'Hope' = They might not shoot her on sight once we bring her in. Miiiight.

Ness turned to Bryce and shook her head, already knowing what he was thinking. "i'm sure you know what it's for, Mr. Logan. That's also the reason why I can't recommend you do anything to it."

As Jess puts her hand on her shoulder, Ness sighs a bit before leaning on her. "I know these military types. They'll just shoot her in front of us and then arrest me anyway. It doesn't seem like there's a way out, and I'm not going to run when I've done nothing wrong."

Rex silently launches a spinning right hook toward one dummy, his arm giving off a myriad of black sparks. As he swings, his arm causes a huge amount of the air in front of him to spark, creating a sort of electric blade on his arm. As he finishes bisecting and electrocuting the dummy, the sparks dissipate and he turns to Erica, hands in pockets. "If that's the case, it's safe to say you're not from this world right?"

"Yes, that will be fine." Lucia replies and looks to her assitant. "Get this man a camera."

"Right away, ma'am." She says before walking off to the backroom.

"This may be a wild goose chase, but we'll see what you can find." Lucia said to Envy.

After a moment the assistant returned with a camera. It was small, simple to use, and shaped sort of like an ball. "This will store the pictures in it's memory. You should feel free to take as many as you want, though." She says, showing Envy how to use the camera.

"Ma'am, I have planets of wizards at my disposal. And from what I just saw, they've pigeonholed you. Now's the time to fuck them over with what they can't expect." He held out a hand. "Let me at least examine it."

@Dirty: Nybeth is in the mountains, and Jessica is off near the Defense Base.

"...Maybe you could ask General Tiberius if he needs anything done? Maybe he can put in a good word for you or something. Their whole country is pretty much run by the military from what I can tell. I would think a General saying good things about you could do wonders for getting you an easier time." Jessica suggested off the top of her head.

The smell continued to exude from Nybeth's cave. If anything it was getting even stronger. With it's increased strength, Rita and Loki would likely be able to tell that it seemed to be an odor based on chemicals of some sort.

 

[Chungus]

OoC: I see no reason why Ness would be attacked on sight. But yeah, Tao's royally screwed.

"Yes... It smells vile, though I cannot tell what it is exactly." Loki answered Rita, looking to her over his shoulder. "Shall we see if this is indeed the person you have met yesterday?" he added as he moved in the general direction the smell came from, though he phrased his sentance more like a statement, then an actual question.

Erica nodded. "Yes. That's correct. I came here on a break of sorts, although I didn't intend to end up in this dimension specifically. That was purely a coincidence, as I'm not exactly well-versed in dimensional travel." she said with a slight embarassed smile. "In fact, this is only the second time I've done so myself. Anyway. That was quite the display there!"

OoC: Yeah. I don't see why you guys are assuming that Vanessa is screwed. They had literally no reason to let her go, at all.

Ness sighed before lifting her pant leg up to reveal the anklet to Bryce. "Don't mess with it, Mr. Logan." Turning to Jess, she shrugs again. "The only thin that I could do is assist him in his invasion. Hopefully, that will help, but regardless, we need to find Tao before we think about me proving my innocence."

Rex gave a small bow to Erica before scratching the back of his head. "Thanks, miss. Sad part is I'm not that good with that. Also, you're just travelling dimensions for the hell of it? You sound like my boss."

Bryce would see that the braclet was made of Mythril. As a result it was nigh unbreakable. Only those familar with it's use would have any hope of removing it.

Rita nodded and followed Loki "I wonder what the hell he's doing..." commented Rita

Envy took the camera and started heading back to the ruins I swear if this does turn out to be a wile goose chase... he thought to himself.

"I have a solution, though I feel a few questions are in order to ensure I don't kill you. How do you feel about schizophrenia?" As he spoke, he gripped her leg and pulled it on to his lap, looking more in depth to the bracelet. "And how does this connect to you?"

"I suppose you're right about that. If we take too long in finding Taokaka then they may just assume you decided to run away and send some people after you." Jessica replied with a sigh. "Still couldn't hurt to ask before we leave to start looking though."

The smell would obviously lead directly to Nybeth's cave. Though it seemed to be started to die down a bit, as it would only remain thick in the air if people were to follow the stench to the mouth of the cave.

Ness gave Bryce a distrusting look as she pulled her leg back. "I'm not a fan of inflicting myself with mental disorders, Mr. Logan. I understand a bit about your virus due to Ms. Skye, and I'll have no part in contracting it. As for the bracelet, it's simply connected to me. I don't know it its a magical link or a physical one. It may be both..."

Turning to Jess, Ness nodded a bit. "Yes... It wouldn't hurt. I'd prefer to avoid fighting if possible." I wonder if I could pass as a secretary.

OoC: How would the virus fix any of Vanessa's problems? Bryce is really bad about spreading that thing...
And If I'm not needed I think I'll be going to bed.

"We likely are on the verge of finding out." Loki answered Rita as he approached the mouth of the cave, frowning at the stench. Entering the cave, he climbed down, looking around and seeing...

Rita followed Loki, fingers pinching her nose at the stench.

"How about prosthetics? Or peglegs? Are you getting my point, miss Vanessa?" Bryce asked, still in a neutral tone of voice.

OOC: Night Hatchy!

"Oh of course! I'd prefer if you avoided fighting too. I just don't want anything really bad to happen to you." Jessica replied to Ness. She gave Bryce an odd look after hearing about a virus of his. If she didn't have her arm around Ness' shoulders she'd have been trying to subtly inch further away from Bryce out of reflex. Upon hearing Hellosh, she immediately turned and started glaring at him as though if she believed that if she did it with enough intensity that she could burn a hole through his skull.

Upon entering the cave and climbing down into the main chamber, Loki and Rita would see a less than pleasant sight. The chamber had no less than a dozen human corpses strewn about the area. Most were propped up against walls, while a few were laid out on the ground. The bodies all seemed to have obvious wounds indicating how they died, as well as they were all wearing either Legaian or Xiphatian military uniforms. They all seemed to have died fairly recently too.

Nybeth was standing with his back to the entryway, and seemed to be the only moving thing in the room. A large bowl was barely visible past him, and he appeared to be using it to mix together chemicals into a foul smelling concoction.

The smell was far worse than it was from the outside as well, with it now being clearly identifiable as a mixture of corpse-rot and embalming fluid.

However, Loki and/or Rita might notice something moving around in his peripheral vision if he were particularly observant...

Ness blinked before shaking her head toward Bryce. "With all due respect, Mr. Logan, I find it idiotic to do that just to avoid capture. ...Like I've said, I'm not going to run. I'll find a way to prove my innocence. Testimony for my alibi should be more than enough." ...Hopefully.

As Hellosh approached, Ness sighed and her belt began to glow faintly. She looked toward him with contempt. "Good evening."

 

[Furioso]

Rita, being of the observant type, looked towards whatever was moving, hiding her disgust for now.
