I shall keep you informed. Loki telepathically answered Jessica as he watched the events unfold.

Soon after the zombies where cut down, the ethereal knights faded, but not because Garzic dismissed them, but because he was unable to keep them manifest as the poison did its work. Garzic lost conscious and began foaming at the mouth, his heart rate contuing to drop.

"And now we enjoy the show..." Loki remarked, a malicious grin on his face.

"Dearest?!" Amalia exclaimed, dropping the barrier and rushing over to her husband's side. Seeing the state Garzic was in, she looked towards the guards who were still standing, "Something is wrong, he needs healing! Now!" she called out in a panic.
The three guards who were healing the wounded made sure their comrades were stable before leaving their sides to go to Garzic. Amalia stepped back to give the guards working space, folding her right arm around her waist and resting her left elbow to on her right forearm, bringing a fist to her mouth as she watched nervously.

 

[Kirke]

(To Erica: By the way, could you search that wizards corpse? I believe he has a scroll that will allow one person to teleport to the place he or she thinks of.)

 

[Chungus]

Of course. Erica mentally answered Tophat as she stood up and walked over to the corpse of the wizard that had been killed by having a rock smashed into his skull. She crouched down next to the wizard and began searching his robes, a little uncomfortable with doing so. She did her best to avoid looking at the caved in skull.

The ambulance arived at the scene, coming to a stop at the middle of the road. Two Xiphatian paramedics stepped out of the back of the hovering vehicle. "Who is it that requirers medical care?" the paramedic called out. Erica looked up and poited towards Rookie. "It is him. I suspect he has suffered internal damage and likely needs an operation." The paramedic nodded and carefully lifted Rookie into the ambulance. "Do either of you require aid?" he asked Erica and Valentine. Both answered in the negative, with Erica going back to searching the wizard's corpse.

 

[Kirke]

Erica would find a scroll that was tightly wrapped and sealed with a sigil.
(To Erica: That's it. Thank you.)

 

[Chungus]

Should I keep hold of this for now, or do you mean to do anything with it now?" Erica asked Tophat as she inspected the sigil on the scroll, standing up and stepping away from the corpse.

With the Rookie in the ambulance, it set off towards Lakewest, bringing him to the clinic there once arived.

 

[Kirke]

(To Erica: I intend to give it to James, to let him get back home. Perhaps we can give it to him in Lakewest? I feel like I must rest now however. Keeping the pain in check took a lot out of me.)
OoC: Apparently I had one hour less than I thought. Oh well, the event is over anyway.

Very well then. We'll head there now. Erica answered, placing the scroll in her satchel, collecting Rookie's clothing and backpack she had taken off to inspect his wounds and heading towards Lakewest, Valentine following. Once there, Erica handed Rookie's belongings, the scroll and Tophat to a doctor to give to Rookie once he awakened. Once done, Erica and Valentine were approached by a soldier asking what the incident was about, the duo taking some time to explain to the best of their abilities. Once done with that, they lingered in Lakewest, leisurely taking in the sights. Something in the back of Erica's mind was bugging her, however, but she couldn't put her finger on it, having forgotten Ness had asked her to watch Chafla.

As the guards worked on healing Garzic, the poison began being flushed out of his system slowly but surely, his heartrate beging to return to normal speeds.

[sub]"No... We cannot have him live through this."[/sub] Loki muttered to himself, then looked towards Nybeth. "Prepare to have more Legaian zombies send through, it matters not what state they are in, as long as the king parishes." Reaching for his amulet, Loki contacted. We need you to created another one-way portal to the audiance chamber for Nybeth to send more of his thralls. Things did not go entirely as anticipated.

 

[Furioso]

Rita wasn't about to let her new found knowledge of the human circulatory system go to waste, and she wasn't about to let their plan fail. Taking out more needles that she had packed she snuck up behind the healers, injecting them with poison the same way she had done to Garzic. If they were kneeling down she would instead go for the better target of the carotid artery in the neck. After an attempted stabbing on each guard she would duck out of the way by moving towards the next guard, confident that they wouldn't attack in the direction of a comrade in the event that they tried to find her.

OoC: A reprisal of Envy's last move

Hush, I'm working. thought Envy to White as she jumped into the air to avoid both strikes, swiping at Blacks head as he passed over her. "Fight or die!"

Black blocked but was knocked to the side by the force behind the strike. "Fine, I'll fight!" She said, then dashed and swung her sword at BlackGold's chest.

 

[DotSlash]

Seeing Envy up in the air, Yuki quickly set her sword on fire and launched a black fireball straight at him. [color=bb66bb] Such a pain... Can I get one duel in this place that doesn't get interrupted!? [/color]

 

[Drakmorg]

"Hmm. Things not going well? Anyway, my portal should still be there, so I won't need to bother making another." Jessica mentally replied to Loki.

True to Jessica's word, her teleportation circle and the resulting portal were still intact, so zombies began shuffling through once again soon after receiving orders from Nybeth. Another 20 zombies went through the portal, popping out in the audience chambers as the others had. They came in guns blazing, half were aiming for Garzic and the small mass of soldiers huddled around him attempting to heal him, while the other half divided themselves up among firing at the other guards scattered around the room.
The zombified soldiers waited until Rita was clear before firing.

Envy's jump wasn't a large one, only enough to clear the jump over Black. As a result Yukino's fireball went sailing overhead as Envy came back down and blocked Black's swing before aiming a punch towards her face. "You'll have to do better than that."

Persephone smoked behind Envy once he had landed from his jump. She calmly put her hand on his girlish shoulders and channeled as much electricity as a natural lightning bolt directly through him.

Black wasn't quick enough to block and the punch hit her, sending her face down on the ground. "Still as annoying as ever..." She muttered as she wiped her mouth with her sleeve. She dashed again, this time skidding down low and aiming to slash at her from below.

 

[DotSlash]

Yuki sighed as the fireball missed but simply sheathed her sword and took a stance with her hand on the blade, focusing herself and causing a small black aura to begin to envelop her. Everyone would notice her power rising slowly but surely.

 

[Chungus]

Two out of three healers were kneeling down, and were thus easy pickings for Rita. The third, however, stood, and like the other guards, was fairly heavily armoured, as it was procedure for the royal guarde to wear heavy armour at all times when on duty. The areas that weren't armoured were covered by a enchanted leather garmet the guards wore under their suit, this being next to imposible penetrate using a simple needle. As the first two guards were pricked, they raised a barrier around themselves and Garzic while they looked around, their eyes darting across the room, searching for the one who pricked them while pressing on the puncture wound the needle left with one or more fingers. Should Rita attempt to stab the third guard, he would attempt to grab, reaching for a random direction, as he didn't know where Rita stood.

Soon after this happened, twenty more zombies entered the audiance chamber. Those that opened fire on the wounded guards killed them, as they were only healed to such an extend that they were no longer in a life-threatening condition, but were still on no condition to fight back. As they raised a barrier, the majority of the shots fired at Garzic and the guards were absorbed by this. Two of the guards kept up the barrier, while the third continued on working on healing Garzic.
With a angered scream, Amalia shattered the portion of the wall she had thrown against other zombies earlier, and launched the fragments at the zombies. As she did this, Amalia reached for her telepathic pendant, it looking far more expensive then comercial one did, and contacted someone.

"This needs to end soon, before the tides turn against us. No need to keep up the pretense of the soldiers being living still. Just ensure they slay the king." Loki said to Nybeth whilst motioning for Rita to return to his side, wishing she hadn't charged off in the first place. He didn't answer Jessica.

As she walked, Erica looked to Valentine, saying. "Valentine? Umm... For what reason did we come to this paticular place again? I have this odd feeling we were meant to do somehting, but can't remember what..."

 

[Furioso]

Since the third guard was armored Rita had the sense to duck away to Loki's side after the first two were hit, allowing Nybeth's troops to have a clear shot at that guard and the two others, who were now distracted.

Envy cried out in pain as electricity flowed through her, and she fell to her knees and started to fall forward a little bit. As a result Blacks strike hit home... though likely not where she wanted as the blade sliced through Envy's neck, causing blood to spurt forward. As the blade passed through Envy would suddenly become become someone else...

This new person looked up at Black with tears in her eyes as the blood flowed down from her neck as she said one word... "...Why..." With that she fell face first onto the ground.

Black's eyes widen. "No..." She said, dropping her sword she ran back and dropped to her knees. "Wh-What...Have I...done?" She said, the shook seeing her bleeding cause her eye to return to normal. "I've killed an innocent....Agh!" She added, holding her chest slightly with her left hand.
