Huh, the exact same date as what that ghost gave me. Well that certainly can't be a coincidence. Let's see if someone's already done research on this particular event. Jessica once again pressed on through the book, aiming to wring as much out of it as she could. Having not seemed to have noticed anyone in the library with her, she devoted her attention fully to the book, no longer bothering to look up and around at her surroundings.

Maria looked absent for a moment before focusing again and replying. "[sub]Well if they were short people with pointy beards like the professor then maybe?[/sub]"

The figure stopped a short distance away from the two women. A light breathing could be heard from the respirators in the figure's mask. The mask's lenses caught the light as a genderless almost robotic voice responded.

In Winterhorn, the midterm examination had started. On the ground floor, the training area, of the main tower several students were present each one displaying the progress they had made in the three major fields during the course of their studies once their name was called. Judging were the teachers of who taught their respective spells. Head mistress Anna was also present, as an observer. After the students recieved their rating, there was one person left.

"Up last, Miss Sasha. Step forward, please." one of the teachers called out.

 

[Saltyk]

The soldier accompanies Echo, wanting to protect her until their business was done.

Several Legain soldiers and mechs surround the woman.
A small vehicle drives up behind them and stops, as a person gets out and walks towards the scene.
"Who are you to appear here, in Soalris's airfield, miss..." A young red haired woman said as she walked up among the soldiers. They seemed to move aside so that she could pass.

One of the great mysteries of Valencheirn are the ash ghost which appeared not long after the city's destruction.  After much investigation, they have been found to be unaware of their deaths.  They are not magical in nature, as they seem to be both Xiphatian and Legaian descent.  What's more, no person has ever been found to have conducted any sort of necromancy on the people of Valencheirn, which is highly illegal.  In addition, only those who seemed to have died in their sleep have turned into ash ghosts.  Any attempt to inform them of their deaths is brushed aside.  Our best guess is that these people became the ghost due to the trauma and ignorance of their deaths.  How this is possible is currently unknown as it has never been seen before.

Lilah kept her aim on the figure"Fine then, why were you observing us?" she retorted angrily

Ridcully continues to sit in his chair, just glaring at the soldier.
"I don't like you." he mutters.

A bit of butterflies in her stomach Sophia stepped from the others that had already done their tests. "I'm ready." She said after a deep breath. She was still wearing her hood and sash. 'Ok, just like we practiced... you can do this.'

"Me? I might just be the one that saves your very dimension" The girl replied. "But I guess that's not a big thing is it?" She asked the red haired women, even though she wouldn't see it, the girl was smirking slightly.

Holly just took Echo's hand as she followed her.

"First up, Elemental magic." one of the teachers stated, a woman, with long curly red hair that hung over her right shoulder. She wore grey robes, with red, blue, green and brown stripes running across it. "Please show us what you've learned."

Jessica sighed as she read on in the book. So researchers here were never able to come up with anything either? Well that's just great. Sure it saves me some time, but now I'm back at square one... She continued reading through the book, thinking there might be something to job some ideas in her head if she read further into it. If those were just the ghosts of people who died in the first act of aggression...

"No." The soldier says to Death then goes to sit down. He ignores Ridcully.

"Oh? Well, then what could be so dangerous that we would need your help? I am General Kiva, defender of Solaris. If there is a threat to my home, it will never get anywhere." The woman said.

A man sits and watches the scene unfold between Kiva and the strange newcomer, on a monitor. He smiles and leans back in his chair.

Maria kept her stance ready.

The figure angled their head slightly.

[color=#003153]"Because you were objects of interest and possible sources of information. I am uninformed of the current landscape of which I am presently on and thought perhaps you two may yield some information if unperturbed. However it appears either way that you are both as informatively challenged as I am."[/color]

The inhuman voice replied.

Rita nodded "Yes, they use mythril to channel their magic, I was able to get some as well. I've used it to make up for the difference between the make up of the magical energy in this world and my world. As for the experimental spells I have a theoretical lightning based spell, and if that one works it could lead to more things. There's also a mid level spell that the math says should work, but I have no idea what it's effects would be. Finally, the fruit of my research so far is a spell combining all 4 of the elements I use in order to tap into the energy used in the creation of a planet."

Death looks at the soldier,

Ridcully looks at Death, "Now why do you expect me to join these bunch of buffons! They have no respect for Wizardry!" he shouts.

"I have information that you might be interested in then, General Kiva" The girl says, then raises her head a little more. "A dimensional traveler....a traitor to technology and magic....a threat to your people....she wants to continue destroying different worlds..." the girl shakes her head slightly. "I wouldn't underestimate her if I were you....last world she went to is now a place of the living dead..."
