Lyra wandered into Lakewest, with her hair a bright red, wearing Marcus' hoodie and a pair of dark pants, her mask gone. She did still carry her knives and rifle however. She wandered through the streets, green eyes looking for offworlders.
That might be pretty nice. I'm not all that good at forming a mental defense, as you can probably tell...so some help might be nice, just in case. Jessica mentally replied to Tophat. After rubbing her temples for a bit, she went back to leaning against the wall of the building she was standing in front of. Not having much else to focus her physical vision on, she watched the Rookie sweep the streets.
Lyra eventually spotted Jessica and took a lean next to her, watching Rookie as she watched him.
Rita left the dragon den and headed for the clear area in the mountains again. Again she attempted her unfinished spell, creating a massive runic symbol on the ground covering the entire area, with glowing halos extending from it into the sky, which had darkened considerably. This time, a single pathetic lightning bolt shot through the rings, barely darkening the spot it hit. "Damn!" said Rita as the spell fizzled
Okay then! Jessica enthusiastically replied mentally. Unless something actually comes up, I'm good for a lesson whenever.
Jessica noticed Lyra come over and lean against the wall next to her. Not recognizing Lyra while she was in disguise, Jessica began inching away from her slightly, feeling uncomfortable about someone she thought was a stranger coming so close to her without saying anything.

Nybeth left the cave he recently claimed for himself, turning into a crow once again and flying out. Since he was still in the mountains, Rita's attempted spell-casting caught his attention. He curiously flew over to see what was going on.

"oh come on Jessica, I hardly smell. And after all that work, getting that voice recording of Dancing Blades memoirs." Lyra said, rolling her eyes before continuing her examination of Rookie. "although I am curious ad to why we've got a soldier cleaning the streets. He was from the drop pod, wasn't he? Remember it, sorta."
(To Jessica: It'll take some time to prepare, but it should be ready by tomorrow.)
The Rookie stopped sweeping and glanced over at Jessica, noting Lyra, then nudged his rucksack.
(To Jessica: Oh right. Me and James need to report back to the military, or they're gonna declare us missing.)

"Oh, Lyra!" Jessica exclaimed, now recognizing the space-hunter from her voice. "I, uh, didn't recognize you for a minute there. Sorry." Glancing back over at the Rookie, she said to Lyra, "I think I remember something about him having to do community service for being involved in a misunderstanding and accidentally breaking a few things. I don't think I remember any drop pod though...whatever those are."
Okay, looking forward to it! Jessica transmitted to Tophat. She waved goodbye to the Rookie and Tophat in anticipation of them having to leave.

"Eh, I've been alright. I hit a dead-end in what I was looking into, so now I've barely any idea of how to proceed. But aside from that, nothing's been going particularly badly." Jessica replied to Lyra. She placed her left hand on her chin as she seemed to suddenly begin thinking of something. She just shrugged at Data as he walked up and said, "Not much. Plans and such."

The crow exploded into a cloud of black smoke, and as the wind blew the smoke away Nybeth could be seen standing where the crow once was. "You there, girl. Where's the wizard responsible for that display of magic I saw earlier?" He asked Rita, pointing at her with his walking stick.
