In our county of whitley, Indiana (U.S.) we had a murder. Certainley uncommon, its not very populated. Spent 3 days looking for the victim, had dogs and everything else. Though anyone that lives in a forested rural area knows it ain't easy.

The reason I'm telling you this is because I found the news article entertaining. Aside from misquotes, (I know the people that were quoted) The best part was the end.

"But then, the body might not even be in Whitley County. The information they have came from a killer, police said, and killers sometimes lie"

Criminals lie? I had no idea...

And this is from a large-town newspaper.

So have you read an article that reads like something from a high school newspaper...and not something more professional?

That was an absolutely abysmally written news article and I hope whoever wrote and/or edited it got fired for doing such a shite job.

I would appreciate it if you didn't insult the quality of high-school papers by assimilating them to this travesty of an article. Honestly, how did this get past their editor?

HAHAHA! Eat it big-town news paper!

But seriously, the victim looks like my mom on about five years of meth and bad hair-dressing.

p.s. I have no heart. A she-devil stole it. And the worst part? She's better than me.

Hmmm....Good point. Make it a Middle-School Newspaper.

Okay, seriously, who here did not have the part of humpty dumpty ring out of your ears at the very beginning of that article?

"All the King's Horses and all the King's men..."

I mean seriously....

This feels like the author did more of his work in Fanfiction.net than what most normal journalists do (and I'm not talking about the good writers of Fanfic.net, which are a small group, but...>.>)

Had a murder in my tiny little town. Two guys tied someone to a bed and burnt their house down, obviously killing them and setting a few houses around it on fire and a pub.

Pub was down for weeks...

That's straight from the grapevine by the way, however I can assure you the pub was closed.

My local newspaper once did a report on a smuggling ring that had recently been busted. The smuggled items? Rare turtles and tortoises.

The last line of the article read, "Turtle-man and his associates remain at large."
