After finally getting a group together and playing the PnP game, I've come to realize just how worthless the Shadowrun FPS is.

I would pay good money for a real modern Shadowrun game. One that emphasizes the RPG elements as well as some more action-y elements.

Would you?

There is one in the making, but without your actiony elements.
Shadowrun returns. Wait for that.

I really don't have any faith in a kickstarter project. Unless the kickstarter is just to get a demo working to pitch to the publisher.

Reminds me of XCOM. I think there are too many FPSs as there is. I think it's a preconcieved notion coming from CoD, although the former misconcieved notion was that all gamers play WoW.

Have I mentioned enough on this site that I really love Kickstarter? And this [http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1613260297/shadowrun-returns] is why. But yeah, we will be getting another real Shadowrun game. And then we can all continue pretending that FPS abomination never existed.

I have high hopes, and backed, the Kickstarter one.

Another one to watch - CD Projekt Red, The Witcher developer, is working on a Cyberpunk game. So no fantasy elements, but it's basically what Shadowrun liberally borrowed from otherwise.
