Crassi hissed when she saw Sammi start to try and stop Dokumaru's charge. If she wanted to get paid, she had to make sure that that barricade went down. Dammit guys... a Devil Fruit user. Really? Rage flared in her for a moment: she felt like they were cheating. They didn't deserve it. She flipped off of the wall, her tail twirling behind her. She landed on the ground on all fours, the greenish blade slicing towards the rope.

The sudden impact of the shot from Mottso startled Alaena and Fletch, the two looking back and forth between the crater and each other. Alaena told Fletch that that was exactly why she didn't want him flying around before using Soru and Geppo to quickly make it to another building without being seen. She peeked up once to see the angle of the crow's nest, sitting back down and trying to think up a plan.

'It's too dangerous to keep attacking the ship, but they're quite protected up in there.' She thought over what to do in her situation, deciding to try and use one of her explosive arrows to either kill the man inside or to at least destroy it. She counted out how many explosive arrows she had left, taking two and firing them into the crow's nest.

Yedaj ducked, but didn't get away unscathed, noticing he had a pair of along his temples, a bit of blood running down. "That was a little too close..." he reached up, trying to grab Grana's sword, managing to get his hand around the middle of the blade. His fingers bled as he gripped it, but he let go, the flat end of the blade now sticking to the palm of his hand. "You're pretty good. We could use someone like you. But something tells me you're too arrogant to listen to reason." [hr]

Higaldo was sent a couple feet back, holding onto his chest. "This one hits surprisingly hard. I shouldn't have underestimated him." he took another stance, holding his hand out, water starting to drip from his hand. "Let's see how fast he is... Fishman Karate..." he swung his arm, and a small orb of water was flung at Yoje "Water Shot!"

Dokumaru ran into the barricade again. "One more time..." he ran at it, but it held against him. "Oh come on!" he noticed the ropes, not only functioning as a trap, but also further reinforcing it. "You gotta be shitting me! That wasn't there before!"[hr]

Mottso noticed the odd arrows heading towards him, turning away. One struck the mast, making a small hole in it, and the other struck the bottom of the crow's nest, leaving another dent. "That was a little too close... I won't let her get off another shot." He aimed down the sites, and once he had her in his sites, he fired. The shot went low, hitting the rooftop. "Dammit! All these weird angles are messing up my trajectory..."

Yoje actually grinned as he Shaved upward and out of the way of the Water Shot. His tail stung from where the Water shot hit, but he'd avoided a direct hit, and his Devil Fruit was still active. So this guy uses Fishman Karate. Let's see if my Rokushiki is stronger. With a Moon Step, he placed himself directly above Higaldo. He shot off a Tempest Kick, and began dropping right behind the attack.

Alaena jumped back when she heard the incoming shot, narrowly avoiding the shot. She used Geppo to make a hasty retreat to a rooftop at the crow's nest blind spot, landing with a thud against the shingles. "That was a bit too close," she said aloud, taking a moment to rest from the sudden light head she had. She gave the pirate inside the crow's nest some credit, he could fire a shot.

'But it seems that he's having a hard time getting that shot to hit it's target.' Now that she was in a safer position she grabbed two more explosive arrows and fired them, aiming to hit next to where she had hit the mast and nest before. 'Enough of these should do the trick.'

Seeing Harligold's men ignore Inishi and do their own thing, Hal couldn't help but laugh. "Guess you're not top dog anymore, eh Inishi?" He said with a chuckle as he walked towards Inishi. He had to end this before that big guy and the pirates made it through the barricade. He didn't know how Grana was doing on the other side, but he probably wouldn't be able to handle it all on his own. Of course, that meant he would have to take out the big guy too, but that was a thought for later.

Inishi would have to come first though. He couldn't fight both of them at once and the big guy wasn't paying any attention to Hal. Inishi seemed to be on the defensive, so Hal decided his best bet would be to push that advantage. Once he was just inside what seemed to be Inishi's spear range, he suddenly dashed forward and thrusted his sword at Inishi's chest.

Roger had made it close enough to the town center that he could hear his men battling in the distance. Hearing that made him want to get in on the action before it was all over, so he sped up and disregarded the possibility of any traps on the northern path. "Alright, just gotta get in there and take out their cannons. From there, we'll just have to clean up the rest of the towns people and this island will be ours!" Roger said to himself with a laugh as he dashed towards the center of town.

As Dokumaru ran at the wall, Sammi knew she had him right where she wanted him. He collided with the barricades and she constricted her ropes, tying him to the debris in a makeshift net. "Gotcha," she said, holding him place to allow Bouncy Boy to go to work on the other Fish guy.

However, keeping her concentration on the ropes meant she didn't see the fighter moving up on her side. The sword sliced through the ropes, the still active ropes. "Augh! Fuck!" Sammi cursed, as she scrambled back from the wall, holding her hand in pain. "Fuck! Damn it! What the hell was that?" She looked to where her ropes now lay on the ground, the ends were coated in a green dripping liquid. "What just cut me?" she wondered.

She got an answer when she looked across near the barrier. There was a woman, older than her standing there, sword coated in green liquid. She looked capable enough of putting up a fight with her weapon, but she had a tail? A tail that had another blade emerging from it as well.

"So, you want to dance, huh *****?" Sammi asked rhetorically, passing the axe in her left hand over to her right. Why'd I put the other one down. That was stupid. "It's not often I get to beat the crap out of another woman. Think I'll actually enjoy this one. At least you can probably put up a decent fight."

Grana gazed on in wonder as Yedaj grabbed his blade, cutting himself in the process. However, his shock quickly ran to fear as he realized that he couldn't retrieve his katana. Remembering how Yedaj had so easily run on the walls as if they were terra firma, Grana immediately realized this was the power of a Devil Fruit, and gave up his katana for lost. Gran could get it back when he killed the man, but not if he died before then. Grana then realized with sudden fear that he had no idea how far away he was from the wall. "Oh, damn! I can't fight a battering crew and Twitchy at the same time!" Grana dashed back towards the barricade, his front never turning from Yedaj. He once again drew the wakazishi once he was a comfortable distance from the barricade. "Okay... I was 9 meters away from the barricade, and now I should be close to... Three meters or so." Safe from intrusion, Grana's brain finally processed what Yedaj had said. "Oh no, Twitchy, I think you'll find me quite the reasonable man. I always love reason, which is why I would never join your crew. You know, you and I... we're both killers. And I can respect that. However, as low down as I am, I have some morals. I've seen what your captain does to a population. He doesn't even leave the women or children alive, should the island resist!" Grana drew in absurd amounts of air, hyperoxygenating his blood for his next attack. The drain of leaving a portal open for so long was starting to get to him. "Moreover, I made a promise to Captain Peter. I promised him I would take him and his crew to the end of the world, and that's damn well what I'll do! Magic-Magic: Bayonet Battalion!" Grana drew in his last breath and took a fencer's stance. His arm began to pump like a piston, driving the wakazishi into the air in front of him. Grana then created portals for each of the attacks, making all of them appear around Yedaj, targeting his shoulders, legs, chest, and throat. This was one of Grana's fastest attacks, and would feel as if Yedaj was actually facing down a firing squad. Grana's lungs began to burn, even with the extra oxygen. The open portal was draining his abilities faster than he thought. Still, he kept his arm moving, unwilling to lose to his opponent.

"So that actually hurt you? Shame. Sorry you had to chip a nail, princess." Crassi moved away from the barricade, not wanting to be standing with her back against it when it went down. "I haven't fought a woman with axes in a while." She pointed the tip of her sword at Sammi, keeping her tail behind her. "I'm getting paid to kill people like you. But a devil fruit user... I'll kill you for free." she spat. She got into stance, keeping a fair distance between herself and her opponent. Close quarter sword fighting wasn't a particular interest of hers, and something told her the axe Sammi was carrying was sharp.

Yedaj guarded his throat but took most of the attack. After the first first hit, he leaped into the air. However, he didn't come down. Yedaj had his hand extended, as if he were holding onto something. "Air Stick!" he managed to get out. He was suspended in the air, with his legs dangling almost uselessly, taking far worse damage than anywhere else on his body. It was clear that if he tried to land, his legs would be unable to support him. He then started swinging around Grana at a high speed, going all around him, but staying close to him. "You BRAT! I'm done messing around!" The mocking and joking tone in his voice was gone, replaced with rage. He kept whirling around him, flipping and spinning on all sides. "Try and keep up!" [hr]

Mottso saw the arrows fly and went back to a spot he tought was safe. There was more visible damage on the area around and below the crow's nest afterwards, and the wood began to creak when Mottso went back into position. He looked back and fired a bunch of other shots. "I'm starting to get the inaccuracies of the scope at this range... dodge while you can, little girl... it's only a matter of time..." he smirked.[hr]

Dokumaru had backed up, noticing a lot of the ropes had been cut. "Now's my chance..." he backed up a little farther and charged, bursting through the barricade, making a hole big enough for a couple people at a time to go through. He shook the debris off his shoulder, and looked around for someone to fight. He saw Crassi nearby "Couldn't wait to get in on the action?"

Higaldo jumped away from the Tempest Kick, and tried to turn around and hit Yoje with a roundhouse kick. "Your technique is impressive, child! What manner of fighting is this?"[hr]

Inshi twisted the shaft of his spear, deflecting Hal's blade, but it dug into his shoulder instead. Inshi yelled out in pain, and at his position, he couldn't pulled his spear back to retaliate. He responded by trying to kick Hal away from him to get him back in effective range.

After a couple more punches, Mog threw out a couple small sticks of dynamite, throwing them at the barricade. the force of the blasts weakened it, and with one more kick, Mog sent the barricade tumbling down, giving Harligold's men a small path to climb over. He kicked the other side and made a similar path. He stared at the area Grana's portal was, still perplexed by it, but started hitting the sides around it to make the opening big enough for him.[hr]

Peter arrived outside just in time to see Dokumaru burst through. "Oh fuck..." he then turned and saw the other barricade collapse, and a small slew of pirates started coming through. "Oh fuck..." he saw that the people were still trying to get the cannons ready to try and repel the main forces, and the gunmen were focusing on keeping as many people out as he could. He then remembered why he came out, and ran to the other side of the building. Once he could see the north road, he saw in the distance the figure of Roger Harligold. "Oh you've gotta be kidding me!" He took a moment, then started running up the north road. I just need to keep him away from the center of town until everyone else takes care of things... once the crew takes care of his men, I can start thinking of a way to stop Roger himself...

Sammi tried to circle around and grab her other weapon, not content only having one of her two axes ready for battle, but the crashing down of the barricade cancelled out that plan. The fat fish man had sent debris flying all over and there was going to be no point in searching for her other axe under that mess. Not with someone like her current opponent standing across from her.

"Marielle," she said out of the side her mouth. "Take care of the freaky fish guy while I deal with this *****."

I'm not letting on that hurt anymore than I have to. She'd probably go right for my hands then. She started addressing her opponent. "Oh really now? Getting paid to kill people like me?" She had put on the most sweet voice she could muster before returning to her usual tone when dealing with other pirates. "Well it's my personal hobby stringing up a freak like you and making my own personal pinata. Course with that ugly thing sticking out of your backside, I can probably just hang you from that instead. Now, why don't you come at me sis, and take your best shot before I do everyone a personal service and amputate that tail of yours?"

As Dokumaru smashed through the barricade, the explosion of debris made Marielle cover her eyes and cower away for a second with a small, "Aah!" of shock. When the dust cloud cleared, she stood properly. A new person had arrived, who looked like he was easily capable of breaking through the defenses. Judging by the way he casually spoke to the tailed woman opposing Sammi, he was clearly another of Harligold's men, and had broken through with sheer force. Other pirates would quickly swarm through the gap, given the chance.

The axe-wielder spoke quietly to Marielle, not taking her eyes off the tailed woman: "Marielle. Take care of the freaky fish guy while I deal with this *****."

She did not hesitate to pick a fight with the spined newcomer, immediately beginning to project more of her shockwaves at him. He was currently a particularly large target; Marielle intended to catch him in at least one of her projected waves, if not both. If he wanted to fight her up close, or try to rampage towards her, he was going to get hurt for it.

Crassi glanced at the barricade briefly, but quickly returned her focus to Sammi. "So says the woman with rope for fingers." She stuck her tail under a chunk of concrete and flung it into the air. She swung around, slamming into it with the flat end and hitting it towards Sammi. Being more comfortable at long range, she took advantage of the distraction and swung her tail towards Sammi's ankles, yards of thick metal blocks hurtling towards her.

Sammi tried to avoid the concrete blocks coming at her, but she didn't have worry about that. The woman's tail swept her legs out from underneath her as she ran, sending her crashing to the pavement. That had the unintended benefit of allowing the flying rocks to miss her, crashing into the barricade behind.

Sammi rolled over before quickly standing back up, not wanting to be on the ground against someone with that kind of range. "My fingers are just rope when I want them to be rope," she told her opponent. "You got to carry that pain in the ass around with you 24/7." The Viking swung her left hand forward, in an awkward sidearm pitching motion that while not pretty, got some velocity on her growing skills as she sent ropes flying towards her opponent in an attempt to tie her up and prevent more tail lashing.

The sudden use of Soru to dodge Mottso's numerous shots left Alaena leaning against the side of a wall down on street level; the sudden dizziness from the rush of blood starting to affect her. 'I can't keep this up at this rate. The many previous injuries from the day before were causing this, and she knew that she'd have to rest soon.

'Unless I feel like blacking out in the middle of a battle,' she thought, breathing heavily as she tried to regain her composure, 'If I just finish this guy and sink the ship, I'll have done enough.' The structure of the crow's nest was almost finished at this point, she just needed to finish the job.

Making her way along the wall to the corner, she looked out from behind it to find her target. She walked out a bit more and drew an explosive arrow, taking aim at the weakened area of the crow's nest and firing; watching as the arrow hit it's weakened target and exploded.

Crassi jumped back, swinging her tail in front of her to slice at the ropes. Dammit, she has both ranges covered... I need to make sure to watch out for all of them. She tried to run back into range before the woman got up, the point of her tail cutting the ground in front of her. "My tail's shown more resilience than your poor excuses for fingers."

Sammi let out a pained gasp after suffering another blow to active ropes. Fuck. I've really got to try and anticipate that better. She keeps cutting me up like that I don't know how I'm going to be able to keep going.

The woman was keeping her distance, something Sammi did not want in this battle. She had to keep running her mouth though. "Oh yeah?" she answered. "Well at least I can do this!" She very pointedly flipped the bird to her opponent, before rearing back against to try and get another set of ropes going. OK, let's try this then. She flung her ropes forward again at the woman, but before they could get in close enough for an effective slice, she detached from the ropes, leaving them as nothing but flying wires as she dashed in from the side, hoping to cut the distance down for a shot with her axe.

Yoje was anticipating a counter attack from Higaldo, but the Fishman's roundhouse kick came in faster than he expected. It was all he could do to hop back with the kick to absorb some of the impact. The attack still knocked him back into a wall, but not with enough force to cause serious damage.

"I use Rokushiki." Yoje stated as he recovered and took a fighting stance. "The Martial Art of the Six Powers. Your Fishman Karate seems strong, I'll admit, but I'm going to prove myself the better fighter here." With Shave and Moon Step, Yoje zoomed to the right, to the left above the fishman, and directly behind him to deliver a kick to the back of Higaldo's head.

It wasn't a direct hit, but at least Hal had finally wounded Inishi. He got a little too caught up in his gloating though and Inishi's kick caught him dead in the chest and sent him stumbling backwards. He grunted in pain and was preparing for another strike when he heard an explosion behind him. He didn't dare turn his back on his opponent and look, but it sounded like someone had finally blown through the barricade. Shiiiiit. I can't let too many of them through, but I can't risk getting backstabbed by this guy either. On top of that, I can't seem to land a good hit on him. That spear is damn good for blocking my strikes. If only I were better with this thing, I might be able to at least start landing multiple blows on him or something.

That though gave Hal an idea. It probably wasn't a good idea, but it would have to do for now. Once again, he shaved directly in front of Inishi, unsheathing his sword and swinging it at him in one fluid motion. But this time he followed that attack up by swinging the sheathe with his other hand. His left hand wasn't as strong as his right so the blow wouldn't be as powerful, but if it landed it could Inishi long enough for Hal to get another hit in.

Roger was getting close now. He saw a man much smaller than himself running up the road towards him and gripped his anchor tightly in anticipation. "You got guts coming out here alone to take me on little guy, I'll give you that much! But you better run the other way before I get to you if you want to live!" Roger called out, taunting the man. If he was gonna fight this guy he wanted to see what he had up his sleeve first rather than make the first move.

Grana grinned as Yedaj got angry. He was good at making people angry. Perhaps it didn't make him many friends, but angry people made mistakes, and he would prefer to be alive and alone than dead and beloved. "Besides, we enter into this world with nothing and leave it, taking nothing with us. The only thing we may change is how our names echo throughout time!" Grana braced himself as Yedaj charged, swinging wildly. "You know, Twitchy, I am good. I'm very good. In fact, I'm better than you!" Grana braced himself as a high-speed flurry of fists flew towards him. He was actually knocked back and was winded as the brass knuckles slammed into his gut, depriving him of what little oxygen he had left. "Damn, I'm starting to get sloppy. Concentrate!" Grana looked around for something to help him ground Yedaj. His powers were far better at fighting groups than fighting Mano a Mano.

Salvation came to him in the form of the barricade breaking. A group of pirates ran over, but that was of little consequence. Grana merely got in the middle of the group and used their own blades to kill them, his portals redirecting all attacks. A few escaped, but that was of little consequence. Grana could hunt them down later. For now though, he divested the fallen of their swords, sheathing his own as he did so. After all, it's not like the dead needed their swords anymore. Grana grabbed four blades and threw them into the air. "Get ready, Twitchy! I hope you've made your peace!" Grana spun around as one of the four swords appeared from a portal. He threw it after Yedaj, grabbing another one and repeating the process. He was hoping to cut up Yedaj badly enough to group him, but if he got scared and fell, or was killed by the flying blades, oh well. So is life. "Magic-Magic: Blade Storm!"
