What's up, I haven't made a discussion since the whole gaming journalism debacle, so I decided to make one as a sort of year-end celebration.

We are now talking about weapon baggage, which is when your weapon of choice not only includes a sweet tool of destruction, but some form of baggage that must be accounted for when owning it.

So, with that out of the way, what weapon (primarily fictional weapons) would you chose to have, and do you think you could handle the baggage that comes with it?

I'll start off with my personal favorite, the Keyblade. This weapon makes you the bane of darkness itself and allows you to traverse different worlds, as long as you got a strong heart. As an added bonus, the Keyblade can unlock any lock. However, these same dark forces that are scared of it will invariably flock to it for its power, and if you have been following the KH games and seen what happened...yeah. Some pretty terrible heartbreaking and world breaking shit happened.

With that in mind, I think I could handle the Keyblade's baggage for a while, but I'll need some help from any other keybladers out there to keep sane from all the mindfucker-y.

Capcha: Dream big final days...don't give Nomura anymore ideas, please.

The shotgun. Good for crowd control and close-quarters combat, can usually kill enemies in one hit and doesn't require much aim. Comes with a very satisfying sound effect and reload animation. What's not to love?

Can't think of "baggage" for shotguns. The usual flaws. Short range? Too loud? Slow reloading?

The guy with the shot gun is aimed at first in nearly all situations where picking your target is vital. Only rocket launcher guy and sniper rifle guy gets priority. Also, it's impossible to enjoy in a zombie apocalypse. It'll draw in every thing in ear shot, it's difficult to reload in a pinch and with few shots per reload. Hell, worse of it, other people seem to always want it, making you a target for both your enemies and your allies that have sticky fingers. Also, how often does shot gun ammo drop?

Myself? I've given it a few minutes thought, and would like a proton pack and ghost trap. It's a "man-portable particle accelerator system that is used to create a charged particle beam - composed of protons - that is fired by the proton gun". The pro: I can use it to kill or maim anything, living or dead. And even if I get killed in the process, it would be really fun to use for the few minutes I had it up.
The cons: For it to exist it'll mean that ghosts are both real and violent. It needs to be recharged, and I do not know the science yet to build, repair, or modify it. My hope would be to find notes allowing me to figure out how to do that.
