My mind! Because you can't disarm someone who can kill you with a thought (well you can cut off their head, but that would just kill them).

Too fantasical? Well then how about a FLAMETHROWER! I could kill my enemies and cook my diner! And nothing says I'm crazy then a laughing manacially while turning the enemy into a living torch.

Still to crazy? Well then I guess some sort of semi-automatic rifle. I'd want to be accurate and when you have to wait a bit between each shot you tend to aim a bit better. At least I do.

A obsidian katana with red japanese words (honor, death, justice, execution) and two desert eagles called; Fuck and Off.
Have to point out, Obsidian is glass. Building a sword out of glass is massively impractical, it would just suck.

1796 Britsh Cavalry Saber, this will mess you up.
Or, if for some reason armour was back in vogue

As far as guns go, this guy has it right.

Oh Winchester, you beautiful beast.
they made spear/arrow heads out of obsidian once upon a time. it's not just simple glass. still, prolly wouldn't work for a sword. Maybe a knife? and i think he just meant the color.

I'd be perfectly fine with my japanese shortsword and a naginata. But if I was feeling fancy, 2 daggers with brass knuckle grips.

nice choice but I would have a spear like object but the pointed end is actually four triangular medal blades the bases would make a square around the tip of the spear, they could either be in a pyramid shape, all four pointing straight forward (and I could make them spin) or all of them pointing out from the metal stick to make a fan of death. also it would have a single poison dart in it which can be shot like a bullet. I mainly choice such a weapon because I like to be different and I could use it in many different situations and not just for killing things.
edit: the stick can also change in length.

edit: for my gun it would be a grenade launcher with flame and liquid nitrogen rounds

A hidden blade. Like the one from Assassin's Creed, except modern, stainless steel, and with your mother engraved on it.

Niiiiice. Is there any good reason why bayonets aren't used anymore in conventional warfare? Because it's to gruesome to show to the public back home?

Because you tend to get shot before you reach the enemy if you try to use bayonets now. They are used occasionally though, the only one I can think of off the top of my head though is at Goose Green during the Falklands War. Also highlanders may have bayonet charged some Taliban in the last few years but I'm not sure.

I have several answers.

.44 Magnum (Feelin' lucky, punk?)

Baseball bat with nails in it (this is a realistic one. I realise I'm probably a awful shot and I can't be bothered with swords and such)

AK47, M1911 and bowie knife combo (for the awesome mercenary look)

A Winchester rifle (too much RDR for me)

The Patriot from Metal Gear Solid (It's ridiculous, and has infinite ammo!)

Metal Gear REX (it's a mech with nukes. What more could you possibly want)

An M1911 in a side holster, and a shotgun and a grenade launcher strapped on my back a la The Comedian. Because in the riot scene, he is possibly the coolest thing ever.
I almost prefer the film... The Comedian is especially well done.

I have a kukri, my grandfather brought it back after WW2. It was actually used by a gurkha in the war. I would therefore use that.
Your grandfater is now 4 kinds of awesome in my book.
I would post a pic but I really don't know how to post one of my own...
Well its easy. Just take a pic of your grandpappy's kukri on a digital camera and load it up on Photobucket. You may have to create an account though.

PTRS-41, because it is the only one b.a. rifle from waw that I haven't shot in real life. I also would like a m-16 for closer combat.
ptrs-41

and incase you live in a hole and don't know what an m-16 is
