Too few games allow me to beat enemies into submission with a fish.
What about TF2's Holy Mackerel? The kill feed even proclaims FISH KILL! http://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Holy_Mackerel

OT: More games need to let me uproot an entire tree and beat people to death with it.
Play Vindictus or Savage 2. Both let you use trees in two different ways. Vindictus lets you pick up massive bits of anything in the environment and pummel your enemy's to death. A Lot more effective than most other games that have such a feature. Savage lets you pick the massive giant guy whos name i forgot, who one hit kills practically anyone if he can manage a hit on them.

Edit: forgot my pick: Dragons Breath rounds etc. I practically Squeed when Black ops included them ingame, and they are the stylist weapon in the whole game. What people forget is that shotguns can fire a HUUUGEEE number of fun things, like smoke bombs, riot control, Mortars, Solid darts etc.
Also guns don't included modifications and other ammo types for OTHER guns, The m16 has a billion variants that can do a bunch of different things, one of my favorites being the modifiable version that can be quickly turned into a 50.cal version, It's designed to stop light vehicles >:D.

Someone should make a game based solely on the cool stuff they show on the program "Future Weapons", crazy sh*t be had.

A game where they take the saying "throw the book at them" literally? We need games like that where they use books as weapons. Imagine knocking someone out with a dictionary.

This game also has big axes, and will have a flail, when they implement the lord.

A shovel. You never get to kill things with shovels. I mean, I would expect at least 1 zombie game to let me kill things with shovels, but NO.
You can kill things with your Minecraft shovel.

I have never seen a mace and chain done, but someone mentioned that it might be difficult to animate? Idk it's obviously not as simple as a single solid weapon, it has many parts and if you take shortcuts it may just look like a solid weapon but i really have no idea.
I'm fairly certain Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess had one.

only game I've ever seen a jackhammer been used in was Nation Red, and it wasnt in the sense of putting someone on the ground and hammering their faces in with a massive construction tool. So yes, the jackhammer

Chairs! There are so many chairs lying around everywhere in games yet none where you can pick them up and slam over an enemies head, even though it could be very staggering!

Okay, first of all, whips are terrible weapons. It's fun to play around with them in games on occasion, but they're just not good weapons in reality. I'm sure there are people out there they could kill me a dozen ways before I could blink with a whip, but honestly you could say the same thing about ladders, or tablecloths, or a pretty much anything really, so don't give me any examples of some crazy person being all badass with a whip. They're still lousy weapons.

As for what I think is underrepresented, this is gonna sound odd, but really I think it's spears. Sure in a fantasy game where you have a party one of the members might randomly switch between a bunch of highly specialized pole-arms and just call them all spears, and occasionally in a game were there are a bunch of weapon options one of them will be spears. That doesn't actually happen much though. It's just odd that one of the simplest, cheapest, most common, and most effective weapons ever created by man, a weapon that was probably the most used killing device from the day a primitive man first showed his buddies how to sharpen a stick into an awesome weapon right up until reliable firearms made melee weapons mostly obsolete, a weapon that anyone that knew how to fight prior to modern times had to know how to use, probably the most common weapon in human history is just relegated to minor side weapon frequently confused with overly elaborate specialty weapons. It's odd.

I wish I didn't have to give up Yukino for this... expletive.
You could use flowers as a weapon in GTA:San Andreas.

That needed to be said I love spears they can come in different shapes sizes especially when it come to blade:staff proportion with the long basically handle it can easily be used in many ways in combat as well as having lots of out of combat uses and can easily be made into back scratchers.

The Spear.

There's a reason it has been the primary weapon (in varied formats) of humanity since forever - a shortspear (and other variants) make awesome individual combat weapons, and long variants make amazing mass-combat ones.

It's just so... silly that whenever you play a fantasy game it's rare to get a chance to use spear and rarely are they useful or good in any fashion.

Damn straight! Look at it:

It's like a spear, axe and pick got all glued together. It is made of STAB, CHOP, and PIERCE.
Oh, I remember my dragon hally in runescape. Well, not technically mine, but I got it for the person on their account.

Sikh arrow catcher: skip to 30 seconds in to see it used well (the first guy who tries to use it manages to screw it up. )
Good luck finding that one in a game.
