Anyway, I have no problem with wearing children's clothing. Or even extremes of self-infantilization. Those two pairs of bike shorts look practically identical, anyway. There's a lot of kid's clothing that I think looks terrible. But there's also a lot of children's clothing that I think looks great. I personally think that having clothing for groups is silly. "This clothing is for women", or "this clothing is for children". It's all silly to me.

Like, why does clothing need to have an age or a gender? Someone could make an argument for groin guards since male genitals are very delicate. Or sports bras since running without one hurts for many women due to breasts. But not all women have breasts, and many men do. Heck, not all women have vaginas and not all men have penises. But in any case, people should wear clothes for personal reasons. Either because they make them feel comfortable or because they personally like them. Again, clothing doesn't need to be attached to groups. And especially not genders. I don't think it needs to be attached to ages, either.
First of all, I own a pair of women's sweatpants and I actually wear it at the gym so I am not arguing against you because of a macho reason or that I have shame. The reason we have these groupings is that it makes it easier to find clothes. Before we hit puberty there's little difference between boy or girl and mostly the age differences relates to sizes (which is why we put them in age categories even at that point). However as we mature our bodies starts to differentiate a little. Males usually get wider shoulders to mention one thing. There are exceptions, but when looking for clothes it's convenient to have it in different categories to make the search easier. There's nothing wrong with wearing children's or the opposite sex' clothing, but the average man will have a better fit wearing male/adult than male/child or female/adult. Personally I have difficulty finding clothing that fits me because I'm a little short for a guy having a small waist while being wide around the arms, chest and shoulders so there's rarely clothes that actually fit all my proportions. I usually end up wearing too long shirts. However I agree that there shouldn't really be any social pressure to wear what "suits your age", but asking people not to be judgemental is futile.

OT: In the case I could find cheaper children's clothing that would fit me just as well as adult clothing I wouldn't care. Sadly I have a weird body so that won't happen.
