I've been reading tons of web comics lately, and for some reason I just started drawing. It's kinda weird considering I don't draw all that much. Has this happened with anyone else? I mean has reading a web comic(s) inspired you to just *try* drawing?

Oh, and if you feel like it, be sure to list what web comics inspire you. For me, it's gotta be Megatokyo, Apple Geeks, and Menage a 3 (Warning: Mature Content)

That's not exactly what K_Dub's talking about, Glitch.

Anywho, I already draw a lot, but seeing things done in some webcomics makes me try and improve on my methods. I wish I would reach the kind of level of expression that's shown in comics like Lackadaisy Cats and Bear Nuts...

I've been tempted to. I make a better writer than artist...which isn't saying much, since my writing is only semi-decent, and I'm jealous of Randall Munroe's art style...

I make an average-to-good artist and writer, but then again I never have much [professionally capable] criticism of either. What's good enough to impress the family or a friend is usually very easy, so I think I'm good on that front.

Oh, and I already have a couple webcomics going. Well, one going [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.126399], and one which has mostly expired [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.74570].

I've always known some drawing basics (vanishing points, shading, ect.), but webcomics actually got me to play around with a few scetches in my free time.

If I was to say that any perticual webcomic inspires me to draw, then it would probably be Overcompensating because of it's simple art style and the persistant laughs.

It's not really Paint, but Photoshop, but it's very similar

I have that, but not for a webcomic. Mainly because all my story ideas haven't come into fruition as I can't draw. But I am learning...

Slowly...
