As part of my level 3 web design and development course, I have to design and build a site from scratch.
Now the building and designing isn't a issue. I just have no idea what I can make a website about.

So, any ideas? I figure I should make something cool instead of wasting my time.

Explain what is happiness from chemical, social, cultural and/or different points of view.
Explain how people acquire happiness.
Attach some photos and videos that can boost sense of happiness.
Add some links to places regarding topic.

- Marketing site, either for promoting new students to make them start at your university and what they can do outside of studying.

- Your own forum (?)

- A browser based game site or a game site (like Kongregate)

Do you have criteria to meet? Certain amount of coding/scripting? Developing your own shopping cart or forum or photo gallery could look pretty cool.

Then integrate that into the teacup pigs idea. Flawless Victory.

Why not design a website about how to design a website?

That way you don't need to think of something to make a website about and can just explain what you did to make the website!

I assume content production is not in your curriculum.

Always a big problem of mine. That's why I'm freelance outside of my apprenticeship, you know what your doing then.

Exactly. You can find plenty of good material for this kind of page. You'l learn a thing or two on the way. And who knows, maybe you'll start some sort of Internet activity basing on this idea ?

OT: I dunno. The times I've had to do something like that I've done it as an information page for some game or other, and seeing as most of the time my teacher is a gamer, I get off pretty well with that. Not the most creative idea, but it works. Plus I get a good excuse to play more games.

OT: Well, you could make your own game-related website. Have separate pages for each of your favorite games or something, and put information, screenshots, maybe a trailer in each page.
