New Jaguarman Characterization

Age: Mid 30?s
Character?s Name: In costume: Jaguarman. Out of costume: Harold Farmings.
Time Period: Current.
Physical Description: Slightly shorter, wears a purple jaguar costume. Without the costume he has medium long blonde hair. He wears suits however if the situation requires it, then he changes into other clothing. He?s a bit skinny and wears yellow goggles in costume.
Mannerisms: Often cuts down ideas to appropriate size for cost ratio. Tries to clean the evil layer or take out the trash but is stopped by his fellow villains calling him demeaning names. After his colleagues have broken down doors or walls he often goes in saying sorry or having his head down. Though everything he does makes sense he always ends up being wrong.
Personality Description: ?Strait man?. He?s very logical and shy. He feels the need to have everything make sense.
Background (no longer fun part): Harold was born in Zoar City and grew up there. His father was a dentist and his mother was a stay at home mom. He really doesn?t have much of an interesting background.
What makes this character important?: He?s someone that we can all relate to. He?s the voice of reason and doesn?t offer flat out comedic value, he can enhance other humor if done correctly.

I didn't mean to make this non fun for you. The straight man is one of the most important parts of a webcomic, or any comedy for that matter. He is the voice of reason who shows us that all the craziness that happens is not normal. He helps us ground the comic slightly more into reality. That doesn't mean he can't have had his own interesting childhood or background. Perhaps he grew up wanting to be a hero but everything he's ever done has been in the benefit of evil because of his friend. Maybe he's an aspiring writer himself, and tries to create interesting scenarios for the rest of the league when they are bored. He ma be the straight man, but he's no dead man.godsmagnum said:

Oh I never doubted that he wasn't important or that it won't make the comic better. Sorry i've been complaney today for some reason. I love the comic strip. Looks really good, however I couldn't help but notice that you said thought an abnormal sum of times. If you meant to do that then good job it worked, but if you didn't you might want to fix that up lol.
Yes that was a part of Vengeful Koala's character that I wanted to fit in somewhere while I was writing his dialog. I wanted him to be redundant. Glad to see you liked the prototype. I'm making sure that the puppets can display a wide variety of emotions without looking too stiff. I'm working on the Henrietta puppet right now so you'll be able to use the pic as a sot of inspiration somewhat for her character sheet.
I'm guessing that you're referring to League Of Super Evil. That is similar in some ways to my idea, but my idea for this comic has much more depth than that somewhat shallow show. You see, my idea is not just about the villains, but about the people of the cit, the mayor of the city, and just the city as a whole. It will involve some deep storylines, as well as the usual "single" gag that most webcomics do.maddawg IAJI said:

This is the new character I have just finished. her name is Henrietta, and she is an escapee from the Zoar City insane asylum. She used to be a psychiatrist but went insane after a particularly tough patient drove her to madness. She is a psychotic and is very dangerous to both heroes and villains. That's all I can say now since Jaguarman is writing up the rest of her character sheet.
All I can say is don't make this because you want to make a webcomic. Make this because you want to make the story itself, and think that you will have genuine fun in doing so. Then, post it on the web. If by some miracle or miracles it becomes popular, wonderful. If the extremely likely happens, and no one reads it, then you still had fun.
Yeah I'm not really expecting this thing to become very popular, but it's a small part of a large story I've been wanting to tell for a while now. Whatever happens to the webcomic is irrelevant as long as I have fun doing it. Of course it wouldn't hurt to let the story out to a wider audience. By which I mean the internet. Anyway, it'll be interesting to see how this turns out in the end. But either way, the story will be told.Xanadu84 said:

Sorry for taking so long to check back. I checked all the character sheets and read the posts, the characters do look very interesting, from the ones without character sheets, they seem...well I like the potential nuttiness, let's go with that, lol. I think I could be on board with something like this, with my unfortunate unemployment, I'm pretty open at the moment.

And as a poster earlier mentioned about the League of Super Evil, I saw that show too an episode or two, wasn't spectacular but had the kind of humor I can somehow see on this webcomic, but yeah, it was somewhat shallow, and focused on the main cast, and was kind of a kiddie humor, I sort of see this as a more intelligent humor.

Right now I'm working on a sort of "pilot" to set up the whole premise in one strip. Something that sets up some plot points and gives us room to elaborate later on. I think this will be fun. Name: Mayor Livshitz
Mannerisms: Very jealous and jumpy. He tries to act confident like he knows what he's doing, but his decision making skills are very poor at the least. Very gullible as well. When he realizes that George is the town hero, he needs to make it about him instead. He likes attention a lot.
Background: Livshitz grew up in the city with his politically correct parents, whom accuse everything of being racist. This caused Livshitz to rebel somewhat by reading comic books that were confiscated from the neighbor children by his parents. They kept all confiscated goods in the attic.
He loved superheroes and how good always defeated evil. Eventually his father became Mayor and he would soon follow in his place. But with a different mindset. Now all evil had to be extinguished and brought to justice. Unlucky for him, since his father ran the city, all evil had already vanished. Luckily for him a certain league moves into town..
Why is he important?: The mayor keeps the town quiet, and plus he's a superhero at night. All villains need a hero to show them justice, but like most good ideas of the mayor, this fails miserably. Comedic value is his main purpose really.

Mannerisms: Runs around a lot, says, loudly, very random things. When she sees a male of interest she will often go into what I like to call, ?A make out session.? Where she just goes up to them and makes out with them. She sometimes twitches. She is very evil/dangerous. She finds very abnormal things to be ?sexy? including ears. She often has one eyelid lower than the other. She will sometimes stop mid-sentence when seeing an orphan child, then she will go up to the orphan child and do terribly random things to it.

Background: She at one time was very sane, a psychologist in fact. She grew up with only a mother figure. Her dad ran off to Africa when she was born to escape responsibility. She finally graduated college and became a psychiatrist where she dealt with quite a variety of patients. There was one patient in particular though, his name was Phillip and no matter what, he would not SHUT THE HELL UP. He had a slight lisp and talked to such an extent that even Henrietta went insane. She started twitching and half blinking with one eye but not the other. And eventually came to work with a plate of flaming waffles, she threw them at all the orphan children that were there at the time. She was quite quickly taken to the insane asylum where her insanity grew even worse with each passing day. She eventually broke out. The moment she did, she grabbed all the orphan children she could find and threw them down what she thought was a well. In actuality it was actually a very large oak tree. She now thinks that her parents were a left shoe and a jar of peanut butter. She sometimes sees people as various foods or objects. Which brings us up to now, now she is a threat to everyone, even the super villains, with the exception of George and Jaguarman. They have large ears/noses which is a huge turn on for her, along with having extra toes or fingers.
What makes this character important? : This character is the actual threat to everyone, more specifically orphan children. She also adds morbid humor and a bit of a needed sex appeal.
