Quite a few people use Photoshop to make their comics.
Like Rooster Teeth? Their comics are photoshopped.

And the whole B^U thing is also moot. A lot of characters use templated faces. Count the amount of Simpsons (and, by extension, Futurama) characters whose eyes are perfectly round and their nose resembling the end of a weiner. Go on, I'll wait.
Ok, for the sake of argument, how many characters of, say, 'Sonic the Hedgehog' have eyes resembling butterfly wings?
Everyone in the DragonBall series also has identical faces, even the female characters. There's either the well-defined outlined eyes with white corneas (Son Goku and Vegeta), or the half-outline and flesh-coloured corneas (Krillin).
To the credit of my personal opinion, I read CAD out of habit. Now I think about it, it has declined, but has given me something me and my friends believe in.
Yeah, I celebrate Winter-een-mas. I really, really, do. I know the Seven Gods of Genre are a figment of Buckley's mind, but does that make it any less valid?
It gives me something to celebrate, and something to smirk about when I pick up my controller. I'd like to think that my passion was bestowed by powers divine.
It's not a good comic, but I read it anyway. I started reading it, and I will continue to read it until Buckley crashes down in a huge fireball of Fail. I want to see how it ends.

The observant questionnaire said:
I actually liked the miscarriage sub-plot. It was the first time (And this is coming from a man who reads Jack extensively) any piece of literature actually made me cry.Call me a pussy but when I saw Ethan put the baby sized Xbox-260 controller in the drawer(Retarded I know)i watered up a bit.
You're not a pussy, bro. Dead babies (-jokes) always hit hard, and miscarriage isn't funny, either. Ethan was pretty stoked about having a kid to teach about gaming. I find it's the way he put the controller away with little more than a "Yeah, okay" (to Lucas calling hima way) that I found hit hard.

On the question regarding alternative/other comics....
Awkward Zombie [http://www.awkwardzombie.com/comic1.php] (A SSBB/WoW comic with little storyline. Good for a little giggle. It actually has nothing to do with awkwardness
or zombies.)
Brawl in the Family [http://www.brawlinthefamily.com/] (A SSBB/Nintendo cross-over comic, mostly revolves around Kirby and his appetite. Something to elicit a grunt of humour, but nothing really beyond that. VERY simple art style.)
FanBoys [http://fanboys-online.com/] (A comic depicting just those. Great, and wonderfully illustrated, but rarely (if ever) updated.)
Looking For Group [http://www.lfgcomic.com/] (A fantasy comic that was (I think) originally based off of WoW. Great for immersion, a very consistent storyline, and wonderful art style. Characters are also funny and believable (Except Dick the Warlock, of course!*).)
VideoGame Cats [http://www.vgcats.com/] (...if they'd only eff-ing update it more, this could be my (second-)favourite!)
*[sup]
I'd like to point out that Richard IS funny, but it's the word "believable" that I snirked at. A lot of what he does is...shocking... But he reacts to it so nonchalantly, and even with good humour, that it's turned into sheer Win.[/sup]

Footnote:
Anyone who uses Yahtzee in a discussion is automatically a retard.
Sure, he's a celebrity here, but think to yourself...
"
Does he REALLY care about what you think about him? Does he REALLY want to be connected to a guy like you? Will it bring him pride if you use one of his quips in another, possibly-unrelated argument?"
Fuck, no! So just don't do it!
Shut up, seriously. Don't worship him. He's good to watch and hear, but, just don't.
I wear a fedora, but I wasn't thinking of him when I purchased it. I have an cindering passion of remake-hatred, but I don't give a rat's ass what he thinks of them.
Just don't imitate or quote him. Think up something astute by yourself for once!
