This year, I was the first-ever intern for a local newspaper. For two years before that, I submitted an article or two per week about events at the high school just to see my name in print. Now, over the course of this internship, I have started a few new things at the paper that we would like to keep going (and I would like to be paid for, now that my internship is ending). One of these things is my Website of the Week column.

I have been featuring one website every week for a few months now, and would like to continue the trend but there are only so many of my own bookmarked pages I can suggest (or shamelessly plug, or review, or whatever you would like to call it).

So, my question to the Escapist forums is:
What website can you suggest for me to write about in the coming weeks?

EDIT: Some want a little more clarity from my post, so I will give a few examples of websites I have already written about. I usually work in themes, unless I find I have a lot to say about a certain site.
Some WotW have been:
* "News on the net" - Places to get news online, from Slashdot to ESPN
* "The Internet goes to the movies" - movie reviews from professional critics to Rotten Tomatoes
* Wikia - different categories of wiki sites
* cooking - places to find recipes or other cooking "how-to"s
* "How to clean anything" - in time for spring cleaning, this one seems obvious
* Games - Kingdom of Loathing and other free games you can play without downloading stuff
* others I will amend to the list as I remember them

Try Worth1000.com. It's a website that hold photoshop contests, and have photoshop galleries. Every time I go there, i always find a interesting or funny image.

Aside from the fact that this isn't a paid internship, nor have I ever been paid to write these features...

I am not asking others to do the work for me; I still write my own articles. I was looking for suggestions as to what websites people liked to visit and think others might also enjoy. Asking for a recommendation is not getting someone to do anything for me but state their opinion.

On a more serious post, you need to be a little bit more specific...

Are you looking for a comedy site?
Are you looking for something that will help people?
Are you okay with content that is not good for minors?

Try specifying what you're looking for exactly, I think you'll get much better results.

Just having a little bit of fun, but as posted above, you're not really giving us much direction for what you're looking for.

I'd say, do a feature on google then. It's one of the most useful sites out there. But I don't think that's what you're looking for.

So what are you looking for?

As it is a local newspaper (with a mostly-elderly readership) I would advise against "NSFW" material. I started this column to familiarize people with all the neat stuff there is available online, and also to show the teens in the community that the newspaper isn't all boring "mayor takes a nap, details at eleven" sort of stories.

Useful sites are also preferred but if it's just a cool site you think others would enjoy then that is good, too. As I edited in the OP I would just like something neat I can recommend to others. I did the Universal Packing List right by the article on games. My first chosen site was actually FreeRice, which is not so much "practical" but it was interesting.

Kongregate, or Youtube. Actually, being completely serious here, 4chan. It's interesting if evil, and there's plenty to write about there. You don't even have to cover the really bad stuff like /b/, if that's a problem with the topic. 4chan is easily the best option you'll get on this thread though, believe me.

Thanks to all for your suggestions! I'll get working on these for the next few weeks. :)
