I checked the search bar and the closet thing I could find was "Webcomic Recommendations".
It has been around eight to seven months since my house was graced with Broadband and I'm still trying to figure some things out.
For that time the only websites I've been bothered to go to are the escapist, Youtube, Fmylife and mylifeisaverage.
But today I'm feeling adventures.
(The last time I felt adventures with the internet led me to become a member of this wonderful community with help from a friend.)
Does anyone know any other good websites you can recommend to me?
I'm looking for fun, interesting websites.
No advertising please.
Note: I'm looking for websites not webcomics but you can reccomend one if you want to. Sorry if I confused anyone.

GiantBomb is fantastic and they have some really awesome video game videos. Persona 4 Endurance Run is probably in my top three for online shows.
Oh and VG Cats.

Are you looking for inanities or actual story?

My favorite four (which have a little of both) are

AppleGeeks
8-Bit Theater
VG Cats
The Adventures of Dr. McNinja

You're welcome.

I would recommend:
XKCD ( http://www.xkcd.com ) A webcomic that's updated every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Relates to nerd life and such.
Cyanide and Happiness ( http://www.explosm.net/comics )
Moronail ( http://www.moronail.net ) - Got some weird and some NSFW stuff, but a lot of it is funny.
Geekologie ( http://www.geekologie.com ) - The news on all the latest and greatest gadgets 'n stuff.

I'm looking for fun, interesting (something that has good reading material) websites.
No advertising or flame wars please.
Stumbleupon, my friend. All you will ever need to explore the internet.

Use it wisely.

Beat me to it.

Also I've spent more than a few hours pressing the random button on this [http://www.pown.it/3027?r=1893592] xD

EDIT: Only 8 months since you got broadband ?
I don't think my house ever didn't have internet

ToothpasteForDinner.com, MarriedtotheSea.com, and NatalieDee.com are all very satisfying as far as webcomics (maybe not webcomics, but... I don't know how to classify them) go, and they are updated quite often. The people who run the site also have some good videos, usually involving pugs. (see "Charles has a Licking Problem")

GarfieldMinusGarfield.net is crazy. 'Nuff said.

Oldeenglish.org hasn't updated in a while, but their videos are amusing as hell. Or more amusing.

TV Tropes

There's a good chance you'll be addicted to the point of voluntary enslavement.
Very true, I sold my soul to tvtropes long ago..
I've managed to kick my TV tropes habit, and I'm never going back. If I did I'd be stuck.

I personally love notalwaysright.com and I hope you'll like it.

If you feel like doing a bit of reading and enjoy old-school IT humour, try The Bastard Operator from Hell [http://bofh.ntk.net/Bastard_Indexes.html]. Once you're done with the pre-2000 archives there's newer articles that get posted from time to time at The Register [http://www.theregister.co.uk/odds/bofh/], but the original stories are the best.

In that same vein, there's the Chronicles of George [http://chroniclesofgeorge.nanc.com/], a catalogue of help-desk tickets tracking the career of the worst tech support co-worker of all time.

If that's not your cup o' tea, try Acts of Gord [http://www.actsofgord.com/], the story of one man defending his video game outlet from rampaging hordes of thieves, dumbasses and crazy customers.
