Just curious why Wedding Dresses are always white, I mean would a black wedding dress be that distastful? What about a red suit for the guy to match?

They're whatever you want. But white wedding dresses are just a Western thing; other parts of the world go for blue, any vibrantly colored and elaborate outfit, or even black, I believe.

I'm not interested in a big ceremony, but I like the classic nature of a white dress, and would go for it myself, if having to make the choice.
