The Elder Scrolls has always been good for playing different classes and customizing your own from scratch. Such as my Orc skooma addict or Dark Elf slave rights activist.

A high luck/ normal dexterity bandit in a game of which I do not wish to mention. Even though that's the "standard" build, everyone else just chooses to ignore either of these for more luck and or more strength. It's kind of difficult to explain without details of the game so...yeah...

I had several N/W and E/W builds in GW. The N/W builds are now worthless due to a change that was made in the skill Aura of the Lich. Damn basterd MMs in AB used to abuse Bloodbond and AoTL.
I can't read that post due to unnecessarily heavy use of acronyms.
I'll translate.
The MMO Guild Wars allows for a primary and a secondary class.

I had several Necromancer/Warrior and Elementalist/Warrior builds in Guild Wars. The Necromancer/Warrior builds are now worthless due to a change that was made to the skill Aura of the Lich. (It used to reduce the damage one took, now it summons minions.) Damn bastard Minion Masters in Alliance Battles used to abuse Blood Bond (a skill that spread damage one took to minions) and Aura of the Lich (the mentioned minion summoning spell).

Never explained what his old builds did, though. Given the class choices, it seems like they would be ineffective tanks.

Something weird built for my Oblivion char: Argonian stealthy heavy armor blunt weapon destru/alter/illu caster with atheletics.

It was a nightmare to play as starters but by god did it kick ass later.
Saw a giant monster you dont care to fight? Go stealth and illu.
A bunch of kinda weak guys not caring to sneak past? Destru and two handed axe made short work of it.
Want to get the upper hand by default or run away like hell? Alteration and athletics made sure you survived.
Also i never wore boots or gloves

In Dragon Age, I made a primal mage with the Spirit Healer and arcane warrior specializations, maxed out both of those, and maxed out every part of the primal spell tree as well as some parts of entropy. The result was a very nearly indestructable warrior-wizard who could wear even the heaviest armor with more or less no penalty, charge headfirst into a mob of enemies and come out with nothing but a scratch, and at range could destabalize, paralyze, blind, and otherwise destroy anything that looked at him funny. That game was a breeze after that.

I also made a "ninja" class in Oblivion, which specialized in blades, acrobatics, lockpicking, sneaking, speech, light armor, and some other thing I don't remember. It KICKED ASS.

Melee sorceress and ranged paladin in Diablo 2.

Lots of weird builds for Neverwinter Nights. So many possibilities with multiclasses and different races. I did things like melee wizard, ranged monk, cleric/wizard/arcane archer, etc.

Well I have an F2000 class in MW2. Pretty sure that's weird on it's own.

F2000 Red Dot and Silenced, PP2000 akimbo and FMJ.

Bling Pro,
Lightweight Pro,
Steady Aim Pro.
awesome House avatar...
i had an F2000 class as well.(this was before my disk ignited...) it was about the same as yours but i think i had stopping power Pro on there.

interesting side note: my friends and i have nicknamed thePP2000 "the Death Ray" due to its shape and how nasty it can be if used right.
Woo first comment on the avatar.

Also yes that gun is not a secondary weapon in any way. Friend of mine has >2500 kills with it.

Dragon age 2 mage with all points loaded into strength and constitution, and the void hammer :p

Third time playing it through and i wanted to see just how weird i could make the game. Pretty strange when your mage is walking around with the best heavy armour, a big-ass hammer and more health than the warriors.

Also, blood magic is essential, means you don't have to use mana for magic :D

You know what? Despite my newfound hatred of Oblivion, I'm probably going to end up giving this a try. It sounds amazing. Sounds like Alchemy would go well in that last slot.
I agree, but I think Lockpicking would be better. I mean, you already are good at sneaking, why not learn how to steal shit?

I was Ranger/Elementalist on Guild Wars for ages. I had meteor strike and inferno, the problem was that casting those spells gave me exhaustion, and I only had like 25 energy, Elementalist's had up to 60 or so with their staves and skills to counter exhaustion, so I was shafting myself by using up all my energy on AoE attacks and having no energy left for bow attacks. Surprisingly no one commented on it and I completed the main story without ever changing build, if I did that today people within 5 minutes would be saying "Ranger nab l2p". I liked the build, it was terrible over time, but unleashing a meteor strike followed by a barrage of arrows was quite effective for about 10 seconds, especially as the meteors knocked them down and they didn't have time to get near me, and if they did I could use inferno.

A strange build more recently is my Ranger/Conjurer on FFXIV. The game allows you to be any class as long as you have the weapon necessary for it, some skills however that you learn through levelling up classes can be used without the required weapon. So my Ranger can buff, dispel and heal himself and others whilst firing arrows. I won't be as good as a Conjurer at it, but I can provide some support. I had my doubts about the job system at first, but it turns out it's awesome.

Do unusual loadout combos in FPS games count?

I found out that a Huntsman/SMG/Tribalman's Shiv loadout can make for a pretty darn effective "battle Sniper" in Team Fortress 2. Shoot an enemy with an arrow, and if you don't kill them outright with a headshot finish them off with an SMG burst. If they get close hit them with the Shiv, then switch to the SMG. Between the bullets and bleeding, the cumulative damage can be quite high.

I played Fallout 2 quite often with Jinxed and Finesse as traits. Combined with high luck. General combat tactic was to just run about like a lunatic while enemies destroyed themselves in various amusing ways. In fact the game usually got easier the more geared up the enemies were.

Nothing says amusing like someone injuring themselves with a minigun or shooting their ally with a rocket launcher while some nutter charges at them with intent to poke them in the eyes.

It works surprisingly well. Just don't try to use a gun.

I think my favorite "i'm bored" build was in D2 where I made a druid and maxed our Raven Flock (or whatever the skill was called) the ravens did a set amount of damage and then died off. It was the weakest thing I had ever built and it was hilarious and people were very confused by it. I think I added one of the worms down the line as well, but I don't really recall.

I also had a poison dagger Necromancer for a very long time but for whatever reason blizzard found it over powered and nerfed it into the ground, to the point where it was entirely unplayable. :( oh well.
