What games have you played where the laws of physics either applied in weird ways, or even seemed to not apply at all?

The best example in a game I own that comes to mind is Castlevania: Circle of the moon. Nathan's whip, as well as certain weapons created with DSS combinations could attack through floors or walls. Yes he could whip an enemy on the other side of a solid wall. Also, while most of the magical attacks would dissipate if they hit an object or other barrier, many would go straight through, particularly attacks that go from the top of the screen down, or from the bottom of the screen up.

Super Metroid: The Draygon fight. There are four power nodes that can be busted open allowing you to fire the grapple beam into them while being grabbed by the creature, electrocuting him. Here is the issue. The fight takes place entirely underwater. So why aren't these power nodes frying everything?
