Weird gaming rituals

I always put on my special Trilby hat before staring any game (No, I'm a Yahtzee fanboy, I just like the hat). I only got it 2 days ago, but I'm sure it will turn into a ritual.

I also have a small imp from ZP (OK, maybe I am a bit) which my brother gave me for Christmas last year, and I always check he's on my desk before getting onto a game, not sure why, just habit.

Usually I prepare some work before I start (not do some work, I just prepare it) and keep the according windows open so they remind me of what I have to do after I stopped playing.
Of course, if it's something that's heavy on resource usage (as an engineering student, I work with CAD software a lot, and that stuff eats RAM for breakfast), I close the program and just leave the explorer window with the corresponding files, a list of specifications or some sketches open so I know what to do.

Then, I get a glass and a bottle of water, sit up straight (no need to ruin my back), take off my glasses (I'm nearsighted, and it's just enough to replace AA at normal screen distance)and find a comfortable position with all control devices in range.
Then I start the game.
For console ports that are comfortably playable with a gamepad (Overlord and Overlord 2, in my case), I sit as far away from the screen as the cable allows, and keep my glasses on.

Always need a drink on hand, if its a game like black ops, have a drink after every match.
I only noticed that i do this one day when i lunged forward to find there was no drink there.

I don't have any rituals before, while or after playing a game... which seems odd now since everyone else seems to have one, two or three....

I make sure the door is properly closed. There is nothing more irritating than getting rpped out of the experience by a vacuum cleaner firing up.

I always have a little half-glass of milk when I sit down to play a long session. Don't really know why. If I don't have that, I often chew a piece of ice. I really have no idea why on that one.
Is not like it helps me play better. :|

I have some with beverages. When I play Left 4 Dead 2 i drink lemon-lime low calorie Gatorade, and when I'm playing UT04 I drink Whole Foods' in-house brand lime soda.

I always have a glass of water and take off my crocks before playing a game. If my glass is empty, I pause the game and give it an evil stare before finally getting up and refilling it. I also must have the TV remote next to me.

Well for starters I gotta be in my gaming chair (a broken campchair that's been to a few download festivals. Damn comfy). Gotta be in the dark (or at least keep the end of the room featuring my tv in the dark for that cinematic feel) and gotta have the volume up reasonably high. If I'm grinding I watch tv on my laptop (Dexter, Scrubs, Doctor Who etc). Oh and I keep a coffee machine beside my setup. Just in case. Beer is good too. This is all normal.

If I'm playing left 4 dead however... no distractions. the laptop goes off and i lie on my bed facing the screen directly. Beer is always within arms reach, as is my phone and any other potential distraction to minimise faffage around. And if my turtle beaches feel like working I put them on. Sometimes I do all this naked (my central heating is AWESOME).
Is that ritualistic or just weird?

On all fallout games i always carry a 8 ball i think in one them carrying a certain 8 ball gave you +luck not sure which one.But now as soon as i spot an 8 ball i pick it up and keep it on me for the rest of the game

When I play a new game first I have to close my blinds, turn off my lights, and change into my sweatpants.

I breath fire(from a large plastic vase) and drink sugary liquid(such as name brand soda and koolaid).

If there is no fire, and no kool aid, my gaming experience isnt the same...

oh yeah, almost forgot,
I cant play without a box of pancake mix, I keep it next to my 360 controller in my t.v. room,
if i come to play,and its missing, I have to stop, and go find it, and put it back on my table were it goes...

Yeah, pretty much this, except without the pancake mix. Oh! Also I always install the game to my 360 hard drive before playing, even if it's a rental.
