Is it junkmail, a virus, or your true love. You'll never know, unless you click.

I got something similar a few months ago.

But I just hope the Escapist doesn't start with Captcha on Personal Messages.

Captchas never really stop spam...Just look at GamesRadar comments.

Are you getting them here or your actual email address?

Because if they're from here then you could always PM a mod about it. Other than that just ignore it.

I pretty much assumed it was spam, but wasn't sure. Though it was made obvious by the fact that i've recieved multiple, all with the same overall format. I'm getting these on this website.

Messages. I don't even know if you're talking about text messages, e-mail messages, IM messages or a pigeon had that strapped around its leg.

Actually, it doesn't even matter at all. It's just spam/junk/phishing/hoax. And they have it for everything.

edit: Oh, it's here. Contact a moderator, then. They won't be happy about that, but glad to know, and will sort it out.

Just reply "tits or gtfo" and see what you get. If you are confident about your email filters and virus protection and such you could see if you can screw around with it for a bit. I trolled a gold seller in WoW for about a day while I was at work. Had him convinced I was studying the similarities between economics in games and real life.

If it looks, smells and tastes like spam, it's spam.

Report the user that they are coming from. Virgil said to report their profile. You could also PM Virgil or post in the Tech Team that you are getting the messages and they should take care of it.

I have received one message selling crap and a couple like that one. Pretty much less then one spam message a year. Not bad at all.
