Ok, I've had a bit of a weird match in ME3's multiplayer, mostly because three so far unrelated events occurred in the same match that all together threw me for a bit of a curve.

The match started up with me and two other players loading onto Firebase Giant. I've barely started the match and already it's gotten weird, as this the first time in my 50+ online matches in ME3 that I've ever played on this map. I know that there's the possibility for this to happen, but that's just bloody odd.

Ok, I may have been played around with a bit but the gods of fate, but that's not unheard of. Then my gun seems to go on the fritz. Now for those of you who don't know the M37 Falcon, I'll give a bit of a rundown on it: Simply put it's a powerful grenade launcher that while a bit complicated in how it's shots get to the target (it arcs, and any misses bounce then airburst), if you know how to handle it and walk your shots with it's decent if not overly fast semiautomatic fire, you can flatten entire groups of peons at once and stagger anything that survives the first few hits. However, this is not what happened in this match. My gun, for lack of a better term, had brain freeze. Not only did it's fire rate drop to one as slow as a sniper rifle, but it seems that half the shots didn't even want to come out of the gun (stage fright I guess), despite using up the precious few rounds it has. And here's the thing, I'm damn near positive that this isn't some update as the only thing I've downloaded for ME3 was the Victory Pack that I got yesterday, and my gun worked perfectly fine then.

So my main weapon on my weapon's master class has gone from a temperamental stallion that could devastate if handled properly into a blind hog looking for acorns. While I did have a backup Phalanx Pistol, that's scarcely going to be enough when the Phantoms and Atlas Walkers start coming in, right?

But here's the kicker. The enemy AI I was facing that match seems to have graduated first in their class from Storm Trooper Academy's visually handicapped brigade. They could not seem to reliably hit me at all, even one time during the match where my controller ran out of juice and I spent a good 15 seconds furiously fiddling with my charger to get a couple new batteries. I assumed that I'd be dropped by enemy fire at that time seeing as I was completely out in the open, but the combined fire of 4 foes were barely able to drop my shields during that entire quarter minute of my avatar picking his nose. Moreso, there were times when the enemy completely ignored me, despite the fact that I was the only target within 40 feet of them. The most notable bit of this was a pack of Guardians who literally walked right pasted me, allowing me to cap each and every single one of them in the head within no hostile response whatsoever.

I'm sad to say that I didn't finish the map (dang, no achievement) because both my team mates dropped the match, and I didn't trust this wonky set of circumstances to end well for me on my own, but the whole event has left me weirdly intrigued, seeing as it's the first time in recent memory where Lady Luck has has been naughty, nice, and just downright silly to me simultaneously.

So my fellow Escapists, where in your multiplayer adventures did you experience a weird/odd/bizarre event, be it a glitch, a bug, or simply the aforementioned Miss Luck having a giggle at someone's expense?

BTW, I will quite literally mail you a cookie if you can manage to top a three of a kind weird event, because I honestly doubt that things can get that freaky.
