Weird question: PC gamers, is your keyboard slanted or flat?

Usually flat.

I have long fingers so I can actually type faster and more accurately when it's flat. My fingers tend to reach farther when going for non-central keys, so being flat helps. I get less finger craps that way.

Also, when used flat, I can move around the keys faster, which is an absolute boon when playing twitch FPS games, fast-paced RTS games, or attempting to type out a long bit of text.

For me it's the opposite. When slanted, my wrists tend to cramp up, whereas when flat I can go for hours unhindered.

Again, probably a side effect of long fingers.

(They're a boon AND a curse!)

Slanted. One of the feet broke off but I supplemented it with one of my favorite books from childhood (A House Called Awful End)

Flat for me, but I really don't have a choice. I play on a massive fucking gaming laptop. No cooler, fan thing is large enough to support my laptop, unless I order online. So for now, she has to lay flat. Since I'm usually higher than the keyboard and laying flat, it isn't as bad. But my wrist to get pained at times.

I have been using a MS Natural/Ergonomic Keyboard for about a decade now, so I'm not quite sure how to answer the flat or slanted question. Whenever I try to use a standard keyboard, my hands feel really cramped together and I get pretty frustrated with it. I type significantly slower on standard keyboards.

I used to have it slanted, but then I forgot to unfold the pegs for a few months and got used to having it flat. Now, having it slanted feels incredibly off. They keys aren't where I feel they should be when I have it slanted.

Flat. Like my chest.
*sobs into her pillow*

this is so i don't get nailed for a low-content post but really it messes up the flow of the joke a bit but whatever so I'll use it to discuss something not entirely related: like how I want to upgrade my computer but I'm not sure what to add. A new processor I think, my FX 8120 probably wont' cut it for much longer.

I'm the same, actually. My wrists seem to get worn out faster if I lower the feet on my keyboard.

50% slanted. Most good keyboards have two settings for the slantiness. I hear flat is better for your hands but I loathe and despise it. Also, +1 for glowing keyboards.

I prefer it slanted, but since I have a massive leather arm chair I use it flat as the keyboard is on my lap.

Kinda sucks actually and occasionally messes up my writing.

Slanted, I found that I like it when I use my keyboard this way, feels much nicer than when I have it down completely flat.

Slanted, mine doesn't even go flat but slanted is recommended for faster/more accurate typing. I've never even heard flat on anything other than a Mac "computer," which has the shittiest mouse in existence and the keyboard gives no feedback.

Wait; by slanter do you mean like a typewriter, this weird thing http://www.aegisgrp.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/keyboard1.jpg , or like I took you as like this http://www.acousticpc.com/images/a_razor_lycosa_slanted_pic_main_pic.jpg .

I find it easier to use my keyboard when it's slanted, it's quite flat so that might be the reason

Tell me you at least use a wrist rest!? If you don't, you must have X-Men, mutant tendons :) And I imagine the ladies love you, behind only the man with the long tongue and the man with the long...errrr....nevermind.

Slightly slanted since my keyboard is just naturally slanted without using the little feet. Using them would slant it to an extreme I can't tolerate.

I have a low profile keyboard so the legs are at quite a sharp angle. The top of my keyboard is less than a centimetre off the desk.
