As a avid Sci-Fi geek I've begun to notice a lot of similarities and "common" knowledge that exists between a lot of different titles.
For instance in a lot of series the "warrior" race species are naturally built with redundant organs or "secondary" and sometimes "tertiary" body systems. This can be seen with Krogans and Klingons and a few other fictional races.
Then there is the collective species such as the Geth, Borg, Upgrade, and the Ultimate's version of Gal ak tus. They all have a singular consciousness but with individual terminals that sometimes when disconnected from the whole turn into completely different individuals
So I have a challenge for the escapist name some other common but specific sci fi ideas and knowledge.
