Weird Steam error.

I don't know if this should be saved for the Steam forums or what, but I'm asking here in the meantime.

I noticed that "Steel Storm: Burning Retribution" has been on sale today. And like my Steam sale addicted self, since it looked sorta interesting, I immediately added it to my cart and clicked purchase.

But it won't let me buy it. Every time I try to purchase it, it logs me out of Steam. Is there something wrong with their servers? Or maybe my account has been compromised and they are taking security measures? I don't know, but I want to buy that game, and this is annoying.

Also, trying to log in, it gives me error messages sometimes. I'm wondering if, before trying to ask on Steam itself, if anyone else is having server problems right now.

Edit: I took off my Steam skin and it is working. Are Steam skins known to cause problems with logging in and buying?

I don't know, but the same problem was happening to an acquaintance of mine a few days ago. I never did hear what the problem was, though; no idea if it had anything to do with skins or not. My guess is not, since I'm pretty sure she hadn't had the account for all that long.
