There have been some crazy ideas for books, movies, games, and other stuff over the years. Take for example Super Mario Brothers. An Italian plumber that kills turtles and eats mushrooms to save a princess. It seems like some ideas are so far fetched that a lot of times we just associate these concepts with crack to avoid thinking how one can think of something like that. What is the weirdest idea for any sort of entertainment (books count to) that you've seen? I would say Grim Fandango because it's about a skeleton travel agent for gods sakes.

I thought American McGee's: Alice was a totally jacked up premise for a video game. It was so dark and messed up, nothing like the books or movie.

Watch any obscure Japanese/Oriental movie while drunk, in the dark with bright pink lights flashing in your face while triple-breasted whores dance on the TV after having no sleep for 2 days.

Dont ask

The movie was Casshern by the way

Since you said other stuff over the years I will say three words: Nintendo. Love. Hotel.

A medieval Persian prince free running
Aliens that give birth by exploding out of your chest
Aliens coming to earth to say "settle down or we're gonna beat the crap outta you"
A guy going around on a horse in order to take on giants

just a handful of ideas that are either weird or ridiculous

A SWORD, you know, the cutty stabby thing, made of LIGHT! wtf?
Pac-Man.
FFX, or any of them, have some pretty... odd... elements. Polishing a mirror so it'll make you weapons uberleet? Okay...

Dr. Seuss. Any of it.

Putting the keyboard keys in the order they are in now, instead of left to right, "a" to "z". I can only imagine how much of a pain in the ass it was to figure THAT out.

Back in the day people were typing to fast on their typewriters so they made the QWERTY keyboard to freak people out.

The Beholder from DnD

Its a giant eyeball with more eyes for hair that shoots lasers..

Hellsing was a wierdass concept, vampires fighting vampires, fighting stronger vampires...Honestly, what the hell?
Yeah... That's totally original and really weird... It's like totally unheard of... Sort of like humans fighting humans, who could ever come up with that idea?

Weird...

I'd say Grim Fandango isn't really that weird either, sure, it's about a skeleton, but it makes sense in the setting.

Read something Shakespear wrote and you're in for really weird.

Well, there's this little site on the internet and they make everyone use GRAMMAR and SPELLING there.
Isn't that the craziest thing you've ever heard?

A game based on World War II.

Oh, wait, right...

Um...

Ooh! A game based on alien invasion.

Wait, sorry...

Er...

A game based on alien invasion during World War II?

I'd say that's a bit weird. Or just creative. (Sure, the game may not have been good, but I like the concept.)

or even a book based on world war one where the aliens come down, make every kiss and make up, and then twenty years down the track everyones kids thinks the aliens are cool so they go around naked and wear body paint like them. Oh that's pretty reasonable compared to everyone elses answers. Well I give up. tetris is pretty weird -_-, especially if you use your imagination to come up with a story line.
