Warning in advance, sure Jam is weird, but it's one of the darkest things I've ever seen on TV, and could offend. (ok maybe not the first clip.)

I really oughta put another vote in for Jam and maybe some examples in order of wrongness.

I'll start out easy, with the greatest use of that tune, ever. I also ought to state this is not out of context, there seems no reason for the outfits or the clarinet or the police manhunt.

Then move on to how Chris Morris makes a normal situation soo creepy, with a visit to the acupuncturist.

Tough choice for number 3. I think I'll pick one of the intros, that were generally not funny as such, but sure fitted the 'weird' category, almost a nonsense poetry to them. It leads into the first part of the first episode tho.

Random, you say? Weird, you say?

Try Excel Saga; even I had a hard time wrapping my mind around that sometimes.

Also Pinky and The Brain.

From Pinky and The Brain said:
Amish Farmer-"There's no shame in bein' early for a man's work."

Brain-"...what?"

Amish Farmer-"IT'S TIME FOR THE MIDNIGHT BARN RAISIN'!"
Ah, such fond memories...

anyone here ever watch MXC? it's apparently called
(most extreme elimination challenge) it comes from wacky japan

the contestants compete in wacky obstacle course style challenges,
on tv, for no reason what so ever, publicly humiliating themselves for
eternity for no prize or compensation for doing these ridiculous acts.
Plus, its down right hilarious half the time to watch these people fail miserably
fail at simple challenges. Look up some vids on youtube, you might find it

I'll also throw in Wonder Showzen.. although perhaps it's not "weird", but I'm sure anyone who appreciates Jam will enjoy it.

The Mighty Boosh. I think anyone who's seen it will agree, that is has random up the wazoo, which then leaks out everywhere. I don't even know what a wazoo is...

Bobobo-Bobobo is the greatest thing ever.

"WHAT DOES JUPITER HAVE TO DO WITH THE SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS!"

Priceless.

Fucking priceless.

You don't get shit like that no more.

Holy crap. To live in the bubble you kids must. Weirdest show ever and I hear answers like "Assy McGee" and "Aqua Teen Hunger Force"?

How about Twin Peaks? For a purely classical North American Television stand point.

IS there really anything weird about Aqua Teen? It's non-sequitarial, offense driven humour. It's quite predictable and ordinary when you think of it like that. The violent plot is always so similar in every episode too. That's fine, it's what it does and it does it well. And there is definitely unusual artwork within. But "weirdest show ever"?

Take contemporary film media at your local community college. Then you might have an answer that demonstrates more than the television network you watch most frequently.

Jam is great but I think I prefer Blue Jam to be honest. Listen to it at 3am when you're sleep deprived. Its an awesome experience.

I second those that mentioned Garth Marenghi's Darkplace and The Mighty Boosh. Both are gloriously insane. In the same quietly burbling vein of lunacy is Attention Scum, which I'm particularly fond of. There's a few dodgy clips on Youtube, but it's otherwise incredibly hard to find anything substantial.

Bobobo-bo-bobobo (The Hair!)
Superjail (Bunny Corpses, what?)
Geobreeders [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geobreeders] (the first episode had cats taking over a tank)
Damn, Mine are all animated.

Twin Peaks was great.

But, since you just painted your posts audience as kids, you must realize that show is 18 years old. People are going to be much more prone to list shows that are on now. I wouldn't call that a bubble, necessarily. Between the ages of 17-21 was when my interest in quality video media really took off and I started to explore beyond what was easily within my grasp.

Garth Merengi --> WIN! Such a shame they only did one series though.

Also thank you to the people that have said "wonder showzen" I caught an episode late at night after a revision binge. When I tried explaining it to ppl the next day they just looked at me like "What the hell man, Ive never heard of that before" and I ended up honestly believing I'd made the whole thing up after too much mountain dew and early morning sesame street.

But for properly wierd you have to look at children's shows. Dora the explorer? Okay, sounds cute BUT WHY IS THERE A KLEPTOMANIAC FOX? WHY WONT SWIPER STOP SWIPING? WHY IS HE IN A RAINFOREST WITH A GODDAMN MONKEY? AND WHAT THE HELL ARE THOSE CREATURES IN THE CAR?

Also if you want disturbingly twisted homoerotic programming then watch "big cook, little cook," especially the episode with the icing...
