A bit naive, but his heart's in the right place. End of the day, with family out of his concern he's absolutely flying academically and got a solid job lined up. Means I can concentrate on protecting everyone important while he brings in whatever dough's needed to keep things running. Blood truly is thicker than water.

As for me, the only way that they have affected me is that I tend to use abbreviations from WoW in conversations with other people I play with.

I want to say most of the ones you would use actually started way before WoW in BBS's and IRC. This being the case I've seen them all over. This is true unless you were talking about taking your girl friend down to AQ40 to see a movie that is. : )

The worst I've had is in dreams. After a week or so of longer sessions I'd start to either play through them or even be in them in dreams. If I was tired enough I've been known to talk about them. There were a couple friends that would catch it every now and then. They found that I could answer questions relating to Diablo II with about an 80% accuracy while I was out cold. I never remembered any of it. The other 20% was usually just gibberish. Course... the same could be said about when I'm programming for long periods of time.

I have found myself really wanting a reset button now and then.

Understood. What I meant was that atleast in my circles, they're alittle more recognized and accepted because they've been around so long.

After rushing off and entering rooms in Modern Warfare 1&2 (online) and similar games, I got shot... a lot, even when at first it looks clear. So now I'm a bit hesitant to be the first through a door and I always check the corners... sad isn't it?

I often find myself thinking that if I die or do horribly I can just reload my save too, I quickly remember it's real life.

This isn't such a big thing anymore, but when I was younger, I would sort of pick up and imitate the little quirks and patterns of certain game characters that I spent a lot of time with. As an example, I spent an exorbitant amount of time playing Ocarina of Time when it first came out, playing it to the point that I would carry myself in the same way Link did when he walked or ran (the same stride, and the same head bob when walking), as well as maintaining a furrowed, determined look on my face.

For a more recent example, I subconsciously perform what I call the "Ezio Waddle" when walking.

I went through a time in which I would play Fallout 3 for about 2-4 hours a day (a lot for me) and because of that I came very close to stealing a bobble-head off of a desk at a car dealership.Thank god I stopped myself when I started reaching.

But it could have given you a charisma boost, that's how they talk you into buying those cars!

When I finish tests, the final fantasy victory fanfare plays in my head. When I find something I thought I lost I get excited and have the urge to hold it up to the Zelda Item tune. I started praying to the Golden Goddesses of Hyrule. My preferred method of showing my frustration is "Keelah", and I have been known to say "Boshtet"

I am unable to be satisfied with reality. It fucking sucks and I can't seem to appreciate much aside from friends and family.

Binge session (~20hrs straight) of X-Com: Enemy Unknown...

The next day on the way to classes, I swear I was seeing sectoids in the commons and around every corner. Semi-delusional, and extremely paranoid, I hovered at the edge of thinking that I was in the middle of a daylight Terror Mission and my college was the epitomy of Terror Mission map design. (I HATED Terror Missions... It got to the point that the first turn would be EVERY soldier setting a grenade or HI Explosive as a kill-switch bomb, just in case there were Chrysalids.)

I've been playing Fallout 3 a lot with a lockpick skill of 100 and picking every lock I find, so whenever I see a girl putting a bobby pin in her hair I REALLY want to take it.

After playing Splinter Cell, I developed an unsettling phobia of silence, worrying that someone will come up behind me even though I hear absolutely nothing. It always comforts me when there's something going on in the background so that just in case someone does sneak up on me, it'll be because I couldn't hear them as opposed to them being non-human silent killers.

After playing absurd amounts of Marvel vs Capcom 3 I dream about combo setups that I can use when playing my friends the next day.....and I do it.

Oh and Persona 3 was the first video game to make me cry, stand up and applaud at how great it was.
