I'd probably just help in that little eatery in Megaton.
Not the exact one but something like it along with the other cooks.
Keeping in mind I have only the most basic knowledge, but I learn quickly so that should be enough.

Um... what town living in The Republic of Dave might be a bit different from living in New Vegas.

I'm beginning to go on the path of teaching, so I guess I would be elected as the teacher, I also have a small amount of knowledge about guns and how they work, so with some time I might be able to fix/build guns from spare parts. I do have a fair amount of knowledge when it comes to fixing and repairing computers, so when the other two areas are unfilled I may try to repair some computers or networks, try and get some useful information out of them or just to be able to use them.

Oh, and P.S. some amount of macguyver, so a pile of junk may in fact be a pile of useable treasure.

I could see myself being utterly useless in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. I suppose I could be useful enough for bartering, as I'm normally good at presenting a case or raising points. I couldn't see myself being an adventurer in the wastes. I'd likely stick to the safety of a town and probably wind up buying a load of guns I wouldn't need. Perhaps I'd find myself trying to sell guns or modify them?

I'd start making a decent life for myself in the town at first. Earn enough money to buy up supplies and whatnot, and plenty of ammo. Then, I'd head out into the Wasteland or wherever when ready and seek out the Brotherhood of Steel, and join them if I can. And maybe try and reduce their anti-Ghoul tendencies a bit too. But yeah, that's my main goal. Joining the Brotherhood if at all possible...

I have guns, ammo, reloading equipment for my calibers. Im not a bad shot. I have some basic survival skills. I have plenty of reading material for survival situations. I have basic knowledge of food prep, staying hidden, outdoor shelters, plant recognition etc. Im not awesome in everything, but well rounded.

Prolly hook up with some people i trust. If their alive. Then raid some stores for equipment and leftovers, then survive as long as possible. If id ran into a clinic small village type thing, id prolly hang around for a bit. Trade und whatnot.

Being a bit of a renaissance man in terms of combat skills, survival skills, technical skills, and academics... but also being a bit of a cripple (bad leg, bad back)... I'd stay in town and help out with planning defenses, building stuff, repairing stuff, and combat training.
Anyone wanna know how to properly break a man's neck? Hint: it's not just a simple twist.

Mmm I would stake out the area, make maps, find safe areas and prepare for different situations. If others are willing and able, or talked into it I would try to move the town somewhere safe. Maybe a cave system with multiple exits.

Easier to defend and then..well I would try to find water, methods for food. I would use my insights as an "I think it so I can put it into action" methods. If all works out I would probably end up as one of the advisors to whoever is the leader.

I wouldn't want to be the leader no.. I keep myself busy with improving things. Finding better methods politics is outside my desire.

I function better in groups if the groups me to be the "odd" one. I would try to make sure the system would function with protection set up, people placed in the right areas and the survivability of the group raised. Maybe I would fail to deal with getting clean water..but that is why I say with others.

I rather see a nice safe town, with a nice wall, with guards. A basic small society!

Where hunters can come and go and trade happens. Where scientists can settle and do research. I might not be the one who does the things.. I just hope my advice who ever picks up the fallen crown will put it in work.

In the end I would hope for the town to be better off then when I entered. Of course this being after the war.. who knows.

Scavenge, then after a while maybe set up a store of some sort. Gun preferably, out in the wasteland everyone needs a gun.

captcha: herebrou trading, and this would be the name of the store. Dunno why it just seem to fit.

STEP 1: Go to New York

STEP 2: Travel the wastes to find groups of people who are willing to make an underground settlement. Then we could hopefully be safe from everything (apart from some feral ghouls).

STEP 3: I would expand the underground city until all sewers belong to me. it would be one of the safest places in the wastes and would be somewhat expensive to live there.

STEP 4: Create businesses for things like guns and food. I would eliminate any competition (they would look like accidents of course).

STEP 5: Slowly take over above ground area (I'm pretty damn rich about now). I would kill raiders, slavers (any bad people, even though I'm a little dodgy).

STEP 6: Get others to travel around America to spread the word of my New York while stirring up trouble so other places don't seem so safe.

STEP 7: Have a huge population living in my city and be very powerful.

STEP 8: Live happily ever after.

THE END

or just be a bartender in the town lol
this except i'd start a cult in ontario with strong members and have them do what i need (scavaging, repairs, protection ect.) i'd also be taking over subways, sewers and small towns and wiping out undesirables (raiders, slavers, feral-ghouls/violent mutant) as the cult grows grow eventually and at my strongest (owning all of canada) i ally myself with justice4L so we can team up and take over the world instead of trying to take over each others territories (and hopefully not try to assassinate eachother) i also have minor skills with lockpicking guns martial arts cooking and building so i'm not useless

I'd probably travel around and solve problems using nothing but my Kung Fu.....

No wait ... thats the plot to Kung Fu.

I'm ex army so i'd probably set up a merc outfit similar to Talon though not as shit.

Either that or Caravan guards. Depending what pays the most.
Fast forward a few years and I'll hopefully be in Royal Marines. If it's post that, then I'll do this. If not, I'll just stay and pitch in with whatever. If my village is prone to raider attacks, I'll try my best with my shotgun.

Since I have no skills that would be useful for a post-apocalyptic town I'd try to get myself an apprenticeship from one of the towns many fine doctors, mechanics or bartenders.

I'd also probably have a sidequest for random strangers where I'd screwed up my duties but is unwilling to face the consequences for my actions and try to get the stranger to fix it all.

I'll try to find Boone. If I can't find him cause everyone else and their dog already is trying o travel with him, I do know how to survive in the wild. But I think I'll just try to open a resteraunt or grocery store.

Would I have child immortality since I'm under 18, if so than I go out and found a new town in the most resource rich part of the wastes, and rule it with a velvet grip.
If not than I'm basically dead because most of my knowledge is about academic subjects, and I'd be a pretty useless mouth to feed.

I can shoot a gun, but there's no way I would survive in the wilds. I'd get too hungry too fast. And it's probably blazing hot out. I might help the guy who runs the clinic, run a shop, or be the guy who goes to the Wastes for a day or so, then comes back with supplies for himself, the clinic, and the shops.
