Welcome

I checked the search bar and couldn't find anything like this.
It's a simple question.
When you first came on the Escapist were you welcomed?
I wasn't welcomed but I did welcome around five or six people to the Escapist.
Note: By welcomed I mean if someone said "welcome to the Escapist" to you when you first joined.

Pretty much this. I didn't feel the need to say "Hey, this is my first post", and nobody else seemed to either.

Danzorz gave me a small greeting after I messed up my first post.
But I randomly greet new kids whenever I feel like it. Although I would like to bring up the motion that Vrex be our welcoming committee. I've seen him welcome loads of people.

No, but I think the "welcome" thing started up after I joined.

I do tend to welcome most of the newbies here, as long as they aren't trolls.

After my first post the OP mentioned that he would take my movie advice since i signed up just to respond in that thread though. does that count? I honestly cannot remember back that far but I don't think I ever was. It was a much more tight-knit community then though. Something that it took some time and patience to be accepted in to. Now, I welcome people occasionally.
