I've always liked the Hakka, but i think the French missed a trick. They could also have done a dance native to there country, like the can-can.Sizzle Montyjing said:Yes!
Well odne New Zealand, what with your terrifying body-slap dance![]()

I just watched it a few more times and i still fail to believe that he accidentally came into the ruck with swinging clenched fist and a knee that both manage to catch Parra right in the face. It's not as if this kind of thing is unheard of from richie either.BringBackBuck said:It was Morgan Parra. Seriously, go watch the replay. Parra was on the ground after tackling Ma'a Nonu, Dusautoir was over Nonu contesting the ball, McCaw came in to clear out Dusautoir. Parra lifted his head as McCaw was arriving and McCaw's knee hit him as he cleaned out the French no7.bloopblerp said:I dont know what the guys name was but it was in the grand final that just got playedThe_Blue_Rider said:Could I get the name of the player who he kneed and the game in which it happened?bloopblerp said:He intentionally kneed a guy in the face in the first 15min knocking the guy out leaving him benched for the rest of his world cup final. what a nice guyThe_Blue_Rider said:Wow, overreaction much? Congrats to the All Blacks anyway, Its about time the country best known for Rugby, won a Rugby world Cup. Yes I know we won the first one but that was a while ago
If im going to argue with you I may as well see it for myself
If you think that was intentional you clearly have no idea about rugby.
I always thought it was trying to intimidate the other team...Sansha said:Thanks, I've never heard it put like 'body-slap dance' before, lol
We're all pretty proud of the Haka. A lot of people think it means 'lol you're gonna die', but it's closer to 'this is our challenge, respect us by not going easy on us and we'll show you the same respect.'
Honestly, I haven't even noticed it was there beyond the massive increase of irritating tourists.MOXron said:but here in lil' ol' New Zealand, for the last 7 weeks, like it or not; it has dominated our lives...
We'll have to agree to disagree then, as this still looks accidental to me, and I certainly can't see a swinging clenched fist there.bloopblerp said:came into the ruck with swinging clenched fist and a knee that both manage to catch Parra right in the face.
No it wasn't.When you lift a player like that so his legs are above his head it is your responsibility to guide the player safely to the ground.Warburton lifted Clerc and then dropped him which is a red card offence under the IRB rules. If Clerc had landed on his head rather than his back he could have been seriously injured. It was a dangerous tackle and rugby players need to learn that they cannot tackle other players like that anymore.I think the ref deserves credit for making a decision that a lot of other officials would have bottledHugga_Bear said:I was upset that France got to the final, they shouldn't have even beaten England (more England playing poorly than France playing well. Really, really poorly) and the semis? That just fucked me right off, Wales were the better team. I know it's if only if only but the sending off was absolutely insane, their captain, a fantastic player. Gone for the whole match over something relatively minor and made without consultation, fucking wrong.
1.It was the Rugby world cup not soccerFilipJPhry said:Although I don't follow soccer, more of a hockey fan myself, I'm always happy for the underdog for winning
I thought they were best known for putting a stick into a kiwi fruit and calling it an animal. oh and pretending they invented half of australias favorite foodsThe_Blue_Rider said:Wow, overreaction much? Even though I'm a player, and a massive fan, of football. I secretly wish that I'd gotten into rugby when I was younger. Also, the Haka kicks some serious ass.Spud of Doom said:That was a very tense game. I had a walk down the main street down here in Dunedin down the game and it was absolute madness. The cars on the street were blaring their horns and hundreds of pumped fans were cheering, yelling and hugging each other. This was about an hour after we won.
France did very well and showed everybody their history of getting better as the tournament progresses is just as true as ever. Both teams played pretty well and there weren't many dodgy goings-on that didn't get pinged by the ref. If France won they would have deserved it.
But so stoked the AB's won. They've been dominating the sport year after year for such a long time, and it's great that they managed to pull through the entire tournament without choking a match for once.
Fried Kiwi, no? Or maybe you are referring to their alias "All Blacks" as a literal interpretation of their skin color?VincentX3 said:So what? Did they win some fried chicken or something?
Joking joking..
But seriously, congratz I guess.
Really? You must have been living in a hole? It's had extreme coverage in EVERY form of media possible. We even have street flags with game schedules on them in the bay...UrieHusky said:Honestly, I haven't even noticed it was there beyond the massive increase of irritating tourists.MOXron said:but here in lil' ol' New Zealand, for the last 7 weeks, like it or not; it has dominated our lives...
That's pretty cool that they won.. I guess... not sure I can really be proud of some sweaty guys I don't know beating some other sweaty guys I don't know in a game I really don't care about but grats to them none the less
Got that right. :L NZ is basically one big party zone at the moment, almost everyone I know of that is a big supporter of rugby is STILL partying, nearly a day after the game finished, and to top that off, the All Blacks have another two parades lined up for the next two days in Christchurch, and Wellington, after today's one in Auckland, busy boys. I mean, surely it's a great occasion to celebrate, but I feel some of the nation may be taking it out of proportion a little... I mean, I can't even do something as little as listen to the radio without hearing the same piece of commentation, as the game finished played over, and over again.Spud of Doom said:That was a very tense game.
