Then stay the hell away for now. If you suddenly start showing up and taking interest in this girls welfare, then the police arrest the guy, then you're there to try sort her out, someones gonna put two and two together and then you won't be helping anyone ever again.

The part where you be a good friend and a big damn hero would be when she just started to take heroin, it's too far now for you to personally intervene. Just hope the legal system isn't too harsh on her (And care enough to actually step in).

If she ever does get out and has a second chance at life, I'm guessing she would want a clean break. One way or another, you've lost your friend. Sorry man.

I've spent my whole life not getting involved with other people's problems, but I really feel like I could and should do something to help here. So should I do something, or make jokes about this poor girl like most of my friends seem content doing?

Eh, I don't really see this community as the right place to be discussing this. But, it's obvious you've got two choices. Either stay out of it, or go to the police. Whether it's anonymously or not, if you want to do something about it, tell the police, and leave the rest to them.

Agreed. Unless you're something like Army Infantry and can get ten mates and a full set of tactical gear so you can go in and really put some hurt on this scumbag, don't bother. One man with big words and bat is one thing, ten trained men with military grade weapons bursting through the front door, rifles ready and attitude switched firmly to 'Batman on a Bad Day' is far more confronting.

Anyway, back to the original point. Calling the 5-0 is about the best you're legally able to do. While users aren't of much interest to cops, dealers are. If this jackass is dealing out of his house and you know that, it can give the cops an edge when they go in to rumble him.

It's noble to want to help someone like this, really, it is. I feel much better for knowing you're willing to try.

they won't care. as far as the police are concerned, she is another drug addict to be locked up. she wont survive in prison long and its practically a death sentence since she will become a sex slave of another inmate if she doesn't just get stabbed on the first day.

But at least you tried to help. Who knows she may get lucky and actually get the help she needs.

she won't. the law doesn't work that way. once the employers see she is a convicted drug addict they won't hire her. her life is ruined and that "help" wouldn't matter because she will end up being a welfare person. I seen how they live and that is NOT a life ANYONE wants to live. The "help" doesn't always help either.

Dosen't quite work like that over here, as prision is ment to reform not punish and there are a number of programs designed to get drug addicts and crimials jobs and rehabilitate them back into wider society... YAY for socialism.

Yes i know her life would be fucked to hell but lets put it this way its better than being doped up and screwing mutliple guys when your mind is not your own.

In my view the guy should be arrested, put on trial and then executed for being what he is to have warped anothers mind to his dominant will.

And the rest of them connected to him should share the same fate also because if there's anything i hate more in this world its drug dealers acting like they own the world and should therfore be terminated on sight.

Try and contact help for her. If she goes into rehab for being subjected to drug use, then maybe she'll get the help she needs.

rehab doesn't work, statistically your more likely to quit meth/heroin/alcohol cold turkey than through rehab/aa meetings. although i think a lot of it has to do with people who do it cold turkey really want to, while most people in rehab are force in there against there will and have no real desire to get clean, not enough to succeed at least, and aa meetings just keep reminding you of it.
