what is the most dumbest thing you have done in a game, whether it was by accident or by you not knowing about it.

for me, it was when i went out and rented L4D2. I had heard lots about the game, but i never heard what a witch was. So, i jump into the game, feels good, find myself a good shotgun, blasting my way through the mall, then... i hear the crying. I was like what on earth is that, then suddenly a panic event happened, so im running, shooting, and i ran into the witch, so i just shot it without thinking... from about 4 feet away. yup, i had to read the manual to figure out what a witch was, so now im much more careful.

so what's your story?

Killing myself four times now with my own care package in MW2. Or throwing a plasma grenade in halo 3 at a bubble shield only to have it bounce off and stick to me. Or jumping off cliffs to avoid being killed by something else. Or, okay I'll stop now.

Realised I hadn't saved the last four hours of gameplay right after I quit out the game. That was pretty stupid.

Not saving once during a speed run of a game. Bad idea. The power went out. >_>

Most dumbest?

... Anyway, one of the dumbest things I can recall doing in a game was in Red Dead Redemption. I was in the Armadillo saloon and I shot someone, only to have all his friends who were sitting at the table with him get up shoot me dead (I was playing on expert and was out of Dead Eye.)

I have a bad habit of not looking at which game-save slot I'm saving in when I get in a hurry. I've overwritten some of my main game saves doing that. Most notably, the vampire I had sunk a few hundred hours into for Oblivion, and most recently, my main game save in Red Dead Redemption.

Throwing a frag into a window and then running in to it is something I frequently do, although hitting the off button and then realising I didn't save is my worst.

Deciding not to save after grizzly bear number 17 in Red Dead Redemption while going for the achievement then getting mauled by one from behind

Being the last person left on the map in one of my first games of Counter Strike and not knowing how to diffuse the bomb. That caused a lot of rage. I found it hilarious.

Beating Twilight Princess, starting a new game, then saving over my old game. Massive fail there. I got to beat it again! Oh boy!
