I woke up about 02.30 last night and had problems breathing. Breathing was extremely hard and it felt like my lungs didn't have energy to draw breath. I laid in bed for maybe 2 hours with the emergency room on speed dial, because I thought I might actually die.

I tried to breath into a plastic bag because I thought maybe I was hyperventilating, that didn't help. It also felt that there was something wrong with my stomach, every time I breath out something felt wrong and my tummy hurt a bit. So I went to the bathroom, had 3 large glasses of water and trew up. The Gastric acid felt concentrated as f**k, and it was like I could feel it eating away on my teeth and gums. It was also quite dark.

It also tuned out I had the most diabolical form of diarrhea, with stuff just exploding all over the porcelain. A few hours before I went to bed I did a thorough cleaning of the kitchen with chlorine as it was a mess. As I felt close to death last night I thought that maybe I had accidentally swallowed some chlorine, as I also did the dishes with it and later had something to eat. But I woke up after a few hours of sleep so thats probably not it. (?)

Today I feel better but the explosive diarrhea is still there. So what do you guys think this is, should I see a doctor?

You should definitely go see a doctor.
Due to me having zero medical experience I just did a quick check of your symptoms on webmd.com, sure it's not the most reliable source but it's a start. Just from assumption I put you at an 18-25 male. Nothing really matched all your symptoms but the breathing problems alone brought up red alerts to go see your doctor immediately.

So go get yourself checked up, better safe than sorry.

Hm yeah I probably should. Thanks for the advice. But I'm willing to bet that when I go there it will all be for nothing. I dont know how many times I have went to the doctor when feeling ill only to hear that I'm fine.

Yeah, see a doctor. I don't know if any of us have any real abilities to diagnose problems.

I'm guessing something you ate, but I have no idea

Aren't you the one who also said you were bulimic? Have you stopped doing that recently? If so, your body may be reacting to the stopping, and you want to see a doctor because there could be medication to help you get through it.

If not, then if it didn't cause this I'm sure at the very least it hasn't helped anything, and you still want to go to the doctor and mention it to them.

If the breathing problems don't happen again the next time you sleep, going to a doctor is just going to result in you paying too much money to some asshole for him to just tell you to come back if something real happens.

It sounds like a really terrible stomach bug that just snuck up on you in the middle of the night. I've had similar things happen when the bowels start filling up like a balloon because I was asleep when the usual signals would have sent me running to the toilet.

I actually woke up thinking I was paralyzed from the waist down one time it was so bad. That was the last time I ate at taco bell for like 7 years or something.

Yes that would be me, only I've just stopped eating now. I have to eat sooner or later, but it can be as much as four days between meals. I do take a lot of supplements, I read how christian Bale coped with not eating when he was preparing for the machinist.

Yes I agree with you, it was weird as I've never experienced anything like it.

If you dont get it again, dont bother going to the doctor.
Shit happens and sometimes going to the doctor is a waste of time and money.

* disclaimer: not my fault if you drop dead though...

On a more practical note though, sometimes when you stop eating, that makes you have too much stomach fluid and makes you feel sick.
Even bulimia effects stuff like arrhythmia.
unless you sort out your eating habits, i am sure you will have minor health hiccups here and there.

Sounds like Sleep Apnea or maybe Sleep Paralysis. Both are fairly common and not as dangerous as they sound. Still, see a doctor. Always a good idea to see your doctor.

Supplements, as in vitamins? Yeah, it's a very bad idea to eat vitamins on an empty stomach. Most people just throw up when they do that, but apparently you tolerate it a bit better. Still, nutrients mean nothing when your body doesn't have the energy (calories) to process them and put them to work.

Even if it was just a one-night bug, you really should see a doctor, preferably someone who specializes in eating disorders. You need to get some help to get back into a healthy pattern of eating.
