What activities do you do with your partner?

Hello Escapists,

I'm stumped and it hurts, and it's embarrassing, but life is like that.

So, my partner and I struggle to find something to do together and neither of us really makes plans... I want us to plan together, she wants me to take her somewhere like she did a few times in the past.

I live in the Czech Republic and I'm Welsh. We've tried intigrating me into her group of friends and it doesn't really work, because when we're sitting in a group of eight people and every second person is talking about a different topic I'm completely lost and can't keep up, whenever I do manage to think of something to say, the moment is already gone and I continue to sit in silence.

So, friends are out... I don't really have friends here either, only work colleagues and students.

Neither of us game either, I gave it up and she hates it...

So, what do you all do with your partners that doesn't revolve around gaming and isn't something like go to a restaurant, watch a film or everyday things... We're a bit stuck.

Take up learning something together, maybe?

I know that's a bit vague, but how about both of you taking a cooking class or something?

It gives you the chance to create a common interest.

This is actually somethign I've suggested a few times but I wanted to bring it up again, so I'll try...

We have the major problem that the course is in a foreign language for one of us and many things we have interests in we're at different levels, but I'll try it again. Thank you.
