Is there anything you never look forward to doing and try your hardest to get out of doing, but always end up enjoying once your friends finally drag you over to do it?

For me it is movies and line dancing.
Movies are a huge time commitment, and they always look terrible in the previews. However, it seems that my standards drop once I'm in the movie theater.

As for line dancing, well, it's dancing and it's folkey. However it takes place in a church instead of a noisy nightclub, and the people are very friendly, so when I run out of excuses not to go do it, I always have good time.

Normally homework, I hate the thought of thinking till I actually get around to it. Of course if it's english or essay related, I tend to hate it to the bitter end.

Multiplayer. I try to get out of playing with my friends until their spamming of invites pisses me off enough to join, then I don't hate it as much as I thought.

Although the reason that I dislike multiplayer is on principle, not because its actually not fun (see my comment under "Halo: Reach Forge mode" for a full synopsis of my principle)

Shaving... I hate the idea of having to go shave in the morning, or at night, but once I'm actually shaving, I don't care so much and I actually enjoy cleaning up

Sleeping.

I dislike any time I have to sleep, but once I'm actually asleep, I don't care any more. >_>

Dishes and working out. I find that the hardest part about working out is dragging my sorry butt to the gym to actually do it, once I'm there I enjoy the physical activity.

Going to school. It's never as bad as I think it is. And back when I still did St John's, I used to need so much persuasion to go to each meeting, but I always ended up enjoying myself a lot.

Working out used to be that way for me, but once you start noticing a change it's real easy.

In the same line as dishes though, cleaning my place in general (inc. dishes). I hate cleaning up my mess, but am so happy with it when it's done.

Working out as some others have said, and I always get nervous before I go to parties - I love them, believe me, but when I was little I was incredibly shy and it still sort of creeps back a little for no reason.

Still, once I've started getting pissed/stoned I couldn't care less.

Oh yeah, there was one other one. Going to see this friend of mine. He is socially awkward, uncompromising in his PC snobbery, and many other things, and his interests are extremely narrow. However, I usually end up underestimating how much time we can pass talking about those few things he's interested in, and as an added plus, my computer always has new improvements after he leaves.
