Since I reinstalled Windows this afternoon, none at this point. I'm looking for one, actually, that uses lower system resources than AVG.

I use ClamWin (Clam for windows, Clam also does Macs) and Malwarebytes. Both are free and cool. Clamwin takes a hell of a long time to scan (some 6 hours for about 450 gigs) but it detects everything. Hell, the reason I got it was because my paid security program (which was Norton, if I remember correctly) couldn't detect a destructive virus that I used ClamWin to eliminate.
Avast and shiver me timbers. There be only one antivirus suitable for ye landlubbin' miscreants.

I'm downloading avast and malwarebytes, based on the recommendations I've read here, and because I have no money at all. So it may be not very expensive, but it's still too expensive for me, unfortunately.utopaline said:
I'm using a bunch of things actually all free versions or completely free. Microsoft security essentials is pretty good and malware fighter actually does a pretty good job at blocking stuff as it comes in. I had clamwin but after a serious virus attacked it was beyond repair.

I use zonealarm. It hasn't failed me once, except a few years ago when it told me something was a virus but I opened it anyway. I was using pc-cillen before that so I was used to false-positives, but zonealarm doesn't seem to have that problem...which is why I should have listened.
I use nothing... Cause, when I use protection I cant "Feel" the internet baby!
In all seriousness... Im using Avast atm. But increasingly I am becoming dissatisfied with Avasts performance. AVG is obnoxious with A: having entirely too many running processes, and B: no way to shut them off on the fly.
I also use Malwarebytes, which I am convinced is still inferior to Adaware, but cant yet prove it.
And I will also run Peerblock which is a wonderful program to keep people who might use my computer, from looking up blatant spyware/adware "Hey this page looks like a newspaper website and it was one of the higher results on google... So what if the URL name has nothing to do with the content in question" advertising sites, (Yeah, not fond of letting others use any PC I admin) its the closest thing Ive found to a viable firewall to replace Sygate since it died.

None. I stopped using anti-virus programs once I made the move from IE to Firefox with the No-Script add-on. I have everything I need backed up in case of emergency, so other than the occasional malware scan with Malwarebytes, I've found that anti-virus programs just add more process clutter.
Not Norton that's for fucking sure.
