The use of the term 'trolling' and its popularity.

Why does everyone think being dishonest, manipulative, hyper-aggressive twats to each other over the internet is a good thing? In my younger days, we called this 'acting like a dick' and you were rewarded for it by being punched in the kidney. Now it's supposed to be seen as a positive trait? Fuck that. There's enough misery in the world already without someone making it from scratch.

I hate how everyone but me learned how to date people over the summer between 5th and 6th grade.
I hate that my brain argues with me, and usually wins, but can't make me do anything about it.

Sometimes I agree with this. But I think a lot of times that's a polite stand in for what people really want to say, which is "look, the only person in this room interested in debating this is you and you're really harshing everyone's good time by being a pedantic jerk with the social skills of a potted ficus, so could you please drop it?"

No, you're not entitled to argue with someone. Save your Mad Debating Skillz for people who are interested in playing along with you, don't be That Guy who ruins a perfectly good social event by arguing someone else into the ground just so you can be right.

The thing about that statement is that it's just saying why we're arguing in the first place, we have different opinions and yes we damn well are entitled to argue about them. If you really aren't interested in arguing then you say you don't really care, don't try and hold onto what little you have left.

If your argument actually goes so far as to ruin a social event though, you've just been a dick and probably shouldn't have been invited to the event anyway. But it's fairly easy to maintain an interesting argument without ending in a ruined event or the dreaded statement as long as you're with fairly intelligent people.

OT: Well at school people who take a class because they think it will be easy and they don't care about it. My history class is full of these people, they take the subject thinking it will be easy and then they start complaining when they get SACs or are asked questions.

There's one guy in the class who thought Hitler was a political leader during the Cold War.

I hereby resurrect this thread with my sheer frustration.

Friends that aren't really friends:
-That guy who shows up while you're talking with some people or doing something, derails your work, and steals the friend you were talking to. He only interacts with me because he's friends of my friends. Swears a lot and passively hates you for being best friends with one of his buddies. Most likely some alpha male.
Also makes exclusive things which you are usually left out of.
-Being left out of a loop.
What the fucking hell? Doesn't it occur to you that "Ohhey, he's friends with us and likes to hang out, how about we tell him what's going on so he doesn't have to ask like some outcast idiot!" Don't you know that I like to be with you people? Are you stupid or evil?
I have about 4 friends that don't ever do this, only because they're my group of outcasts, it's like I do not exist to others.
-That guy you don't really know who your almost-girlfriend is great friends with
-People who are so sure of their smartness even when I silently beat half of them. (Though I may be included, at least I don't brag.)

Not many things manage to piss me off as much as people who constantly victimize themselves. I usually try to stay open minded and understanding when I talk to people, but I just lose all patience when people intentionally put themselves in situations where they are miserable for the sake of sympathy.

yeah Ive ALWAYS been kept out of the loop, mabye thats partly my fault however..this social thing can get frustratingly complax at times

Lip smacking noise. I become the slayer of kittens when I hear this too much. Especially on a speaker in my college class, I have one in each communication class, and just ARGH. SO MUCH HATE. EVERY FUCKING PAUSE *wet smacking noise here* blah blah blah *wet smacking noise* blah blaah *wet smacking noise*
AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRGGH! There is nothing more infuriating than this! Not even the retarded drivers I deal with every time I get behind the wheel can nick this one! It's just fucking maddening!
I'd kill for a way to A) Stop them from doing it or B) Stop myself from hating it so damn much.
