Ok, this was a weird topic to search for (I had to think of the right keywords) but I don't think there has been done.

How do you imagine yourself when you get older?

I have actually imagined myself going up to be that crazy uncle. Here's a picture of me that is only a week old.

I am the one in the bow tie and clothes that don't match. That was at a wedding (that I wasn't invited to btw). Using this picture I can only surmise that I will be that wacky uncle. However, later in life I picture myself being that really unpleasant old guy. The one who is just always angry and yelling at people. I feel like I could get away with it too.

I'm definitely going to be a crotchety old man. The kind who sits on a rocking chair on his porch telling young people to get off my lawn.

But then in some series of circumstances one of the kids is going to have to get to know me and find out that I have a bitter history to explain my solitude.

We're going to become best friends and this kid is going to become like my own. And then I'm going to go to jail for hanging out with a little kid by some random neighbour saying "The creepy old man living at 20X6 Streeterson Ave is inviting children into his house".

And then I'm going to be like "What the hell".

Yeah, I think that If I live long enough to lose everything, I will probably become a very depressed and angry person.

Until then, rather than crazy uncle, I'm hoping to go for crazy dad. You know, geeky but still funny. I'll probably embarress my kids... or make them think I am the coolest man in the world by showing them anime rather than the cartoons they will most likely grow up with. Forget spongebob, have some Cowboy Bebop and Trigun.

Awesome Uncle and Dad that everyone wish they had. No seriously. I'll go into game design, get my children beta passes for all the cool games that I'll be designing.

Let's see...I hate people, have no intention of ever having any sort of relationship, don't particularly care about family, don't want to ever live in anything more than a reasonable apartment, and would like a cat. I'd say I'd be a crazy old cat man, but I don't think I'll be going insane, I wouldn't want more than one cat, and this will probably be my life within eight years (28 years old). I guess I'll go for "that one quiet neighbor that nobody really knows who everyone suspects is secretly either a serial killer or just very very sad."

Probably a half mad old recluse that is found dead in his house 2 months after the fact, rotting on a pile of half-finished novel drafts.

My husband (who is thirteen years older than me) asked me what I was going to do when he passed away.

'I'll go live with _____ (a male best friend) and we'll listen to the pitter-patter of little feet due to having a house full of cats.' My husband rolled his eyes, but my friend went into a fit of laughter at work when I told him that.

So, I guess 'crazy cat couple?'

I like to imagine myself being an eccentric loner guru type of old person one day.

Whenever I have the time and money to keep an organisation afloat, I want to found one around my hobbies and I want to enter politics one day. I also want to become one of the most prominent breeders of exotic beetles and other exotic invertebrates in my country! It shouldn't be hard, considering how small my country and its circle of breeders is.

Me and my significant other will be the "cool old people" who take lots of vacations and host Super Bowl parties for the neighborhood. I intend to be damn active in my retirement.

Silly uncle, fo' shizzy. Most of my friends have already made me promise I'll be the wise/crazy uncle to their kids. I can get along well with children and am more than willing to impart my wisdom, but I sure as hell ain't having any kids of my own. Although the angry misanthrope is a possibility, if things take a turn for the worse. I do have antisocial tendencies.

I don't know. The possibilites are endless!

OT: Either a silly uncle or the oldman that everybody avoids.

"Get off my lawn you damn youngsters! With your damn hoverboards and future tech!"
