What are server configuration files?

I ask because apparently nintendo has Been hacked and their server configuration files stolen. I haven't been online via nintendo for a while, but I'm still worried. Are my personal details at risk?

It was an accidental double post, it 404'd when I tried to post, I opened up a new page, checked the advice forum, saw it apparently hadn't been posted, and tried again, thus, double post.

And google just showed a load of cyber babble I can't understand.

EDIT: ...and now it has teleported itself to the gaming forum. Hmm.
