I do mostly First person shooters and RPGs, more like Oblivion than Final Fantasy. Also like puzzle games.Optimus Prime said:What genre you like?
The girlfriend wants Little Big Planet, so that's a definite, but how Metal Gear 4? The last one I played was MG: Solid on PSOne.Zetona said:I found both LittleBigPlanet and Metal Gear Solid 4 to be highly enjoyable, though they are entirely different genres.
I've looked at Uncharted and I think that one I'm getting also.DizzleMcSizzle said:uncharted, i was in your position about 2 months ago.
deffo uncharted and i really liked heavenly sword but it is a little short, throw me your PSN when you have it. im playin Little big planet and Rainbow 6 Vegas 2. ill also be investing in killzone 2 on the 27th. try the demo of that. its up now. you should love it
personally i found MGS4 to be rather like a long sequence of Cut scenes strung together to make a movie of sorts. its not bad. its just not great either. depending on your country of origin i know blockbuster (im from the UK) i got it from blockbuster for damn cheap. definatly worth picking up but im pretty sure i read if you skip all the scenes you can crack the game out in about 5-7 hours. dont skip and its more along the 10-12 mark. just to try and put it into perspective ive been playing it for 8 hours with a friend who loves the MGS games and has played every single one of them and even he said that we must have only played actual gameplay for around 3 hours.FreakyRO said:The girlfriend wants Little Big Planet, so that's a definite, but how Metal Gear 4? Downloadable games, i.e. Braid, Castle Crashers, Schizoid, N+, what kind of downloadable games are offered over PSN?Indigo_Dingo said:How do you mean?FreakyRO said:But are the same games offered over both?Indigo_Dingo said:One charges, one doesn't.FreakyRO said:Oh, how does the PSN compare to XBL?
Are we talking online multiplayer or downloadable games?
But don't count on that forever. Eventually, to cover the losses elicited by the constant adding of gaming servers, Sony is going to have to charge you something.Indigo_Dingo said:One charges, one doesn't.FreakyRO said:Oh, how does the PSN compare to XBL?
From that list, only N+ and I think that's only on the PSP. The PSN has a different set of stuff. Everyday Shooter would be PSNs Geometry Wars, Monsters and Savage Moon are Tower Defense games, just as two examples of how things translate. There is less to chose from, but it is all pretty much great quality. They add 1-4 titles every month so it's only growing. I'd say it became useful in the last 8 months, and offers a pretty good cross section of game types.FreakyRO said:Downloadable games, i.e. Braid, Castle Crashers, Schizoid, N+, what kind of downloadable games are offered over PSN?
