PCs are better than consoles, it's true. Problem is, you need an expensive computer to play modern games on them. Consoles on the other hand, are £200, so for a lot of people, like moi, consoles are the logical choice of gaming if you can't afford that gaming PC.
Aaand here's what annoys me. People claiming you need an expensive PC if you want to game on it. That was true a decade ago; it's not true these days. If you want to crank every slider right up to the maximum, sure you'll need to spend a bit although not anything like you'd have had to spend ten years ago.
If you just want your graphics to be a little better than those of a console, you only need a cheap crappy computer with a lower-mid-range video card. And since you're likely to have a computer anyway, for posting to boards like this, it's a total cost of maybe $100 to $200 added on to make it a gaming PC. It's actually cheaper to game on PC than on a console.

And those Bioware fans are creepy. I mean, really.
Yes. Yes they are. Excuse me, I need to go wash my hands after reading those screen captures.

Hardcore PC fans, I must agree.

Xbox and PS3 fanboys can be annoying, but at least it just comes down to genre preference.

With PC gamers, it's all trashing everyone else's fun because "Consoles dumb things down", "Consoles get too much attention", "Consoles have shitty games", and, most hypocritically,
"Consoles have rude players".
Really, because I think you were the one who was pressing those points with absurdly violent language.

Twilight fans. I play WoW, and someone ignored another just because they started making fun of it. I mean damn, overreact much?

i grew up along side harry potter. i was 11 when i saw the first movie and i'm 18 as i watch the new one, harry potter's got a magical place in my heart
In order for that to be possible (assuming you are incapable of time travel), you can't have watched the first film until 2 years after it was released... Which i'd hardly say counts as growing up along side him. Unless you mean that you have been in all of the years that harry has been in, but then every single other person over the age of 18 has too...

Time travel aside, the kind i find most annoying are (as others have mentioned) anti fans. It's fine to not like something, but people who insist that something is awful and the lowest of the low, even when they haven't experienced it for themselves really bug me. Even if they are basing it on the opinion of someone who has. Which, when you get down to it, all of these people are, unless they aren't basing it on anything at all.

Also people that reject something only (or mainly) because of a reinterpretation of a popular stereotype (i don't think that's the right word, but i can't think of the right one). For example, labelling an entire book as crap because you don't like the authour's interpretation of what a vampire is. Especially when the idea of vampires is older than dirt (even the name 'vampire' is a few hundred years old), and has not always been consistent. And when there is justification inside the story for people believing the normal stereotype.

Fallout fans, especially those who are FANATICAL about the first few games.

I mean, I CAN'T be a fan of Fallout if I've only played 3 and NV? I'm only a "Bethesda fan?" Seriously?

That is some borderline retarded logic right there.

wtf are you talking about? i grew up with harry potter, you wanna talk shit about my childhood? drive over to my house and do it to my face so i can punch it if you want to.

and are you directing those last 2 paragraphs at me? i used to be reeeally into anime in middle school, i was even the narutard. why do you think i hate it now?

i didn't even mention twilight, but here you are defending that piece of shit, here we go. the way the book was written was sub par, famous authors of books for more mature audiences feel insulted that this book is passing theirs in sales. the only reason twilight got popular is because it's mushy love story with some guys that teenies (not teenagers, but teenies, these are the high school musical fans) find "soooooo hot". their acting wasn't even anything worth mentioning. as for the butchering of the vampire image, yeah, i get the whole creative license, but now something that used to be so cool is now incredibly gay. know why vampires drink blood from the neck instead of a major artery? because it's sex appeal. twilight throws that entire part of the vampire fantasy out so there could be a "loooove story".

vampires may be a few hundred years old, but did you ever watch buffy? classic. or Van Helsing with Hugh jackman? holy shit, that whole movie was awesome. watch that movie but play the album 'the horror show' by iced earth in the background. Iced earth is a power metal band i used to listen to, and their album the horror show is all about monsters, each song is a different monster....and it's power metal. that's awesome. now vampires have feelings for humans and they sparkle in the fucking sunlight. vampires suck now.

it's not the reinterprutation that gets us, it the fact that now no one can ever dress up as a vampire for halloween without hearing a god damn twilight reference. same goes for werewolves, but luckily no one dresses up as a werewolf anymore, so that's why you've never heard anyone rip on the whole werewolf part of twilight......yeah, you never thought of that until now did you? you always heard people ***** about the vampires, but never about the werewolves, that's because Wolf man was super awesome with anthony hopkins and it slapped the entire twilight saga clean across it's face.

and why the fuck is taylor lautner in this upcoming action movie? it looks terrible.

face it, we're not anti-fans, we're normal people with good taste.

WRPG fans who hate JRPG for silly reasons.

It's okay if you hate the art style, or the characters, or the battle system, etc.

But saying you hate them because of cliche' characters is annoying when WRPGs all have IDENTICAL characters. "I show no emotion, therefore I must be a real man!"

Saying you hate the cliche storylines is annoying when WRPG ALWAYS have the same storylines. "Stop teh evils!". Atleast JRPGs chuck politics and religion into their storys.

Or saying JRPGs are linear when most WRPG are linear too.

Or saying storyline is most important to you, but than hating JRPGs for having too many cutscenes.

Let's see... I hate the fans who take things to the extreme. I don't mean anything specifically either!

For example: console fanboys will argue for hours over which system is the best. When in actuality, there really is NO superior console. So long as the thing can handle and play whatever game I plug in, no worries. Shoot, I own several different consoles because games I like/want to play don't always come out on the same thing.

Another example: FPS fans. My gripe with them is they complain about me camping when I stop for a few minutes and sit somewhere. I like playing those kinds of games, but I get motion sick and I have to stop once in a while to let my stomach settle. Still apparently makes me a "camper" even though I spent half the friggin round running and all that! Or when they complain about someone using a grenade launcher at close range. Personally, I'd do it BECAUSE it pisses them off! "noob-tube" them and grief them for the full round. Overall, I don't care how a person plays since it's just a game. To go into nerd rage, and complain over how someone else plays while claiming your own superiority, just makes you look like a tosser!

I could list more, but you guys get the idea.

all sorts of fandom in general and anti fans are pretty bad too

so i will focus on one group because i have some knowledge of them and there actions.
Zelda fans(i am sort of one)

mainly the loud and vocal hardcore fans/fanboys/fangirls

a nice amount off them say ocarina of time is the best and may complain that the newer games are not as good. a but come on turn off the nistalga filter for a second. i know it was the first 3d zelda but that does not make the best. there are better zelda games out there. the other 3d zelda's used what worked in ocarina of time and added to it and made some improvements. or they at least tried.

when Nintendo tries something new like cel shaded graphics(wind waker) the first reaction is the world is ending and and the zelda franchise is Ruined forever [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/RuinedFOREVER], and They Changed It Now It Sucks [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TheyChangedItNowItSucks]. the same and much more is likely to be said about skyword sword as well. (what the hell do i mean by likely it's guaranteed those jackass are doing that right now)

also the ones that feel the need to protect zelda games and/or Nintendo the moment it there criticized. one criticization is the games feel the same. i agree after the link to the past formula worked they stuck to it for the many of the games. but occasionally they did try something new and they should do that more often.
i won't defend Nintendo at all in fact i agree with some of theses people who do criticize them.

a particularly creepy fan group is
Yaoi fangirls [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/YaoiFangirl]
is my advise is run away

4 links to tvtropes. wow i must be evil [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/AffablyEvil] and that a new record
for me

EDIT:should add more tvtrope links

Fanboys of mainstream games who think the games in question are ANY kind of art but are just cash grabs or scarcely scattered with fragments of art. I could mention GTA, Halo, Mass Effect, Modern Warfare, Crysis, The Sims, Madden NFL. The list goes on and on and on. None of these people tend to realize these scripts, these pieces of music, the characters and the environment pretty much are just created by algorithms anymore.

You have your algebraic mashup of tear-jerkers, frenetic scenes, shock and awe and never realize it's mathematically engineered to the brain of a 13-year old.

It's so very sad.
oh I'm sorry? since when is your opinion fact? works can be rather cliche...but its weather or not its done WELL that counts (thats the apeal of Bioware games/storys) AND nothing is TRULY orginial....didnt you know?

anyway fans that hate things BECAUSE they are fans

I guess all fans annoy the crap out of me. Actually, it depends what it's about. If it's people who say PCs are awesome and consoles suck, then I will punch them. Right in the face.

Extra Credits fans.

I love the series, but it's tiresome when a phrase gets picked up from an Extra Credits video (e.g. "Aesthetics", "Don't Sell Power") and suddenly it's being quoted all over the forums like the Word of God.

I don't really mind any type of fan in general (unless they're a pedophile fan or something).

It's the spewers that fucking annoy me. The people that violently eject their fan opinion all over the place when it's not even called for, and constantly try to direct a conversation towards their fandom.

In my personal experience: PS3 and PC fans. They all (at least the ones I've met) seem to smug wankers with major superiority complexes and massively overblown egos all because they spent more on their gaming than I did.

Also Lady Gaga fans really annoy me because a lot of them view her as the second coming of Jesus and believe she is the greatest thing to ever happen to the world. And they always say that if someone isn't a fan of Lady Gaga its because they "aren't smart enough to understand her music".
I'm a semi-GaGa fan and I'll agree with this. Bastards piss me off. She's okay but she's nothing special, her entire gimmick is just dressing weird. It's not even like her songs are difficult to understand. Come on, when is pop music EVER intellectually challenging?

I hate anti-fans.

Just because you don't like something doesn't mean someone else can't be allowed to like it either.
